Termanology f/ Action Bronson & Jared Evan- Take My Turn

Hip-Hop legend Edo.G teams up with his apprentices G. Dot & Born, Boston natives, to shine light on their story and style while also providing their own sound.  All production is handled by Confidence, who's claim to fame includes "Rashad and Confidence" and "Purpose and Confidence" on Ill Adrenaline Records and he produced seven tracks on Neek the Exotic’s “Hustle Don’t Stop” LP from 2012.  

The LP is fourteen tracks deep with Gdot & Born handling about half the duties on the mic, with the remaining tracks being handled by Edo.G, providing listeners with a nice diversity; while Confidence keeps a steady stream of that authentic Hip-Hop he is known for throughout.
     
Confidence, a student of the game dating back to the 90’s, first got a taste of music production in the mid 90′s while learning to DJ with his brother Technic.  His break didn't come until 2001 when he copped an MPC 2000xl which he still uses to this day to compose masterpieces.   

G. Dot & Born relay the struggle of survival in the streets with hard-hitting raw lyrics, traditional gritty street beats and a confident delivery that takes Hip-Hop back to its essence. G. Dot and Born stay true to the city of Boston that raised them and 90’s Hip Hop influences like J. Dilla, Sean P., Big Pun, Edo G., Kool G. Rap, AZ and Nas by embodying a humble braggadocio that only real life experiences teach you.

After A 4-Year Hiatus Army Of The Pharaohs Returns With New LP “In Death Reborn”

Initiated in 1998 by Jedi Mind Tricks front-man Vinnie Paz as homage to the incredible rap crews of the 80’s and early 90’s, the Army of the Pharaohs has, from its outset, been an ever-evolving collective of celebrated emcees from the indie hip-hop scene.  Founding members Vinnie Paz and Esoteric were featured on the crew’s original 12-inch single, “Five Perfect Exertions,” in 1998 and remain with the crew today.  With the release of their debut studio album, The Torture Papers in 2006, the Pharaoh clique expanded to include accomplished solo emcees Apathy, Celph Titled, King Syze, Reef the Lost Cauze, and the Philly hip-hop duo and frequent Jedi Mind Tricks collaborators Outerspace. 
 
In its nearly two decades, AOTP has released three studio albums alongside countless solo albums and side projects from its lineup of emcees that have been some of the most critically-acclaimed and best-selling indie hip hop records of the past 20-years. A lot has changed since Term initially cut his teeth with several highly acclaimed 12" singles, and a debut album, Politics As Usual (2008), that included a MT. Rushmore like array of producers (DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Havoc, Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Buckwild & Nottz) which garnered tons of praise landing him in The Source's "Unsigned Hype" and XXL's "Show and Prove" columns.  Since, he has released a collaborative effort with M.O.P.’s Lil Fame (Fizzyology) and two-projects under the moniker 1982 with his brother from another mother Statik Selektah. In addition, to appearing on BET’s “The Cypha” (with Mike Epps & French Montana), Term has also appeared on BET’s 106th & Park and BET’s “The Backroom” and MTV’s “Rapfix” with Sway and “Mixtape Monday.” However, the one constant throughout has always been Term’s ability to spit.

Onyx’s New ‘Black Rock’ Album Will Be Released On 2-16-18

The release of today’s single is on a very somber note.  Yesterday, Chylow “Chyskillz” Parker, who produced and or co-produced the majority of Bacdafucup and an integral cog in the Onyx machine passed away due to a heart attack. “Rest in Paradise to our brother Chylow "Chyskillz" Parker, our condolences go out to his family and close friends, we will always acknowledge your contribution to the Onyx legacy.  Your music will always inspire. Love our brother!”

Years before anyone told you to “give up the goods,” Queens craziest Bal-Hed sons, Onyx, were already busy taking the Golden Era’s loot and taking it to new heights.  In the process they stamped the term “hardcore” in its darkest terms across the Hip-Hop vernacular with their trailblazing platinum debut Bacdafucup (under the guidance of their departed mentor and producer Jam Master Jay), which included the indelible singles “Slam” and “Throw Ya Gunz.” 

The multi-platinum group’s fearless nature has always set them apart.  From the menacing cover art for Bacdafucup; which captured four young, bald figures toting a shoulder-strapped automatic weapon, to their now instantly recognizable “MadFace” logo and taking hip-hop to a world that could “Slam” in an era where even looking at someone wrong at show could be the start of your ending. They gave 50 Cent his first major label platform (“React” from 1998’s Shut ‘Em Down album), made boom-bap gangsta, gave metal street cred and integrated the kinship of hip-hop and punk rock cultures to a wider global audience. Simply, Onyx didn’t break industry rules; they scared them the fuck away.

While their iconic status has propelled them into various movie and TV roles as actors (Fredro’s credits include Clockers, Sunset Park, Strapped, The Wire, Light It Up and Save The Last Dance, while Sticky’s include The Shield, Blade: The Series, Law & Order & CSI: Miami), two decades and a few classic albums later there is still nothing as exhilarating as listening to the greatness of Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz’ loud and abrasive deliveries.

In 2018, Onyx is back and bringing it bacdafucup in your face with their explosive new album, Black Rock, which will be released on 2-16-18.  Black Rock interpolates Onyx’s intense hardcore vocals, booming drums and heavy guitar riffs to create the most aggressive release of the group’s career.  “We came in with Run-DMC and Onyx are the new kings of rock” Fredro exclaims.  “The inspiration for Black Rock came from the song (title track) we did for the revolutionary Judgment Night Soundtrack.  It’s Hip-Hop meets Rock and Roll, boom bap and guitars; but what people don’t expect to hear from us is what makes this album so dope.”

The group capped of their 25th anniversary celebration with an unforgettable performance on Good Morning America. 

On 10-5-18, Ghostface Killah released a new project and fan favorite, The Lost Tapes, which was entirely produced by Big Ghost and featured guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, E-40, Big Daddy Kane and Sheek Louch and his Wu brethren Raekwon, Masta Killa & Cappadonna among others.  

Today, Ghostface announces Ghost Files, a new Double-Album Remix of The Lost Tapes, featuring 25-tracks in total, with one side remixed entirely by Bronze Nazareth and one side remixed entirely by Agallah.  

The Ghost Files Double Album Remix project also includes a new and unreleased track ("N.W.O.") which features Queensbridge legend Tragedy.

To honor the Wu’s 25th Anniversary and his new remix project, Ghost enlisted Bronze Nazareth to remix “Watch ‘Em Holla” featuring Raekwon, Masta Killa & Cappadonna.

It couldn't all possibly fit on “Port Authority 2”; hence “Newport Authority 2” came to be.”
