Ashot Danielyan - Meditation Of Exultation

The piece "Pine" is an attempt to convey the peaceful and contemplative atmosphere I experience when I walk in the woods. It's not so much about having a defined melody or complex harmony, but more about creating a mood and an atmosphere.

As with my previous recordings, I've used my Malmsjö piano from 1911 to bring this piece to life. However, this time, I've added some felt effects to create a slightly altered sound that fits the overall mood of the composition.

In this piece, I've used felt to soften some of the sharpness of the notes, creating a more subtle and delicate sound that blends well with the theme of the piece.

NEW DRONE II

This is my contribution to the TPC Bouquet of Flowers. 
I love the primrose/ cowslip, it is the favourite flower of my sister and she call me "Schlüsselblume" since childhood. Our mother told us that it was a flower to be protected, what impressed us a lot and made this flower something special for us... :) We ran over the spring meadows and felt freedom and piece, that you can only find in nature. Lovely days... a wonderful memory!

I picture that this desert planet has two stars and the Emerald Sands is an Ocean of dunes out of emerald sand mimicing the beautiful view we have on Earth of a Sunset at the Sea or Ocean. I picture myself on this alien planet at the twin starset making me feel homesick and longing for my loved ones...

At the beginning of the new year a fresh and wild wind was blowing outside around the house... I loved the idea to capture the movement of air in this little tune called "Frischer Wind im neuen Jahr". Hope you all have a wonderful 2018. My name is Sacha Hoedemaker, and I am a Dutch composer. I have played the piano since I was eight years old; honing my craft bit by bit. I got picked up quite early in my career by successful directors and producers. They offered me to work behind the scenes, which was a tremendous opportunity for me to work on my songwriting-skills. 



I started working on numerous projects; I wrote compositions for commercials, shows, and indie-movies. It dawned on me that my work mainly helped other people excel in their career — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But whenever I wrote a great composition, the producer got the credits. Over time, my job left me unfulfilled; it felt like I was not living up to my true potential — in other words, things had to change. 

And luckily for me, change came earlier than I expected. I always say, “You never know how things will turn out. Whatever happens, happens. The important thing is that you followed your gut.” And I did. It still feels a bit unreal to me, but I am so proud to announce my music to you.
