Autumn is such a wonderful time of the year.... ok, I love every season, but the colours in the nature around us are like a firework for me...So autumn inspires me every year again to write new tracks and songs. This compilation showcases my work from the last two years.

When you look out the window and all you see is cold. And this goes on and on and on. But there is warmth inside of you. This little piece is about the warmth in the middle of cold. The hope in the middle of miserable events. The knowledge of sun in the middle of winter. Hang on to that, have patience, have persistence, because the cold will end one day.

I realize it has been quite a while since i last posted.
Since my recent bereavement, I've been remembering, re-balancing, and finding it much more difficult than i could ever have imagined. Paige was the Love of my life, my best friend, and such a character!  :-D
 
But, all things considered, Life is Good! The death of ones beloved, not so much. 
However, the love of friends and family continues to make all the difference as i am on my own again for the first time in 35 years.

So, it gives me great pleasure to release my first New Piano Improvisation since my darling Wife, Muse, and Best Friend, Paige, passed away in my arms so suddenly on the first day of May(2018).   

Now, all i can do is continue to Share my Love, my Music ... and to Remember and Cherish the Fullness of All we inJOYed during the many years we adventured together.  <3 

In-deed, i pledge to continue Creating and Sharing the humble musical gifts i have been blessed with, in remembrance of the amazing love we shared. 

Rest in Peace, and continue to Be yourSelf wherever you may Be, 'My love, my fair one.' Our Love is Forever! <3

Resonant Memories and Magical Moments

My new creation... "Ende September" (end of september) is a spontaneous improvisation on a simple sweet melody... autumn is coming, I can feel it :)

October...  a colder wind is blowing outside and the leaves on the trees are turning yellow, orange, red and brown... What a beautiful magic of mother nature...:)

Listen to the sound of he wind in the trees... My new creation "Windrauschen in den Bäumen" (engl. wind noise in the trees) is a relaxing orchestral piano piece mixed with an ambient mood....

BORN is the title track from the Swedish pianist Carl Liungman's solo piano debut album BORN (2020). 
This is minimalistic piano music, burgeoning, searching and hopeful, that opens up both the living room and inner room of the listeners heart. Neither major nor minor chords are dominating, transforming the music into a quaint soundscape with the naivety, self-assurance and wonder of a child.
BORN is piano music devoted to its simplicity and intimacy, as understated as it is energetic, like the melancholy of reflection, in the light of life.

Carl Liungman’s album Born was released worldwide on all major digital music platforms on May 22 2020.

This long-form piece, in which impressionist piano intertwines with sympathetic field recordings and found sounds, makes reference to and is influenced by an experience I had at the Suffolk coast in late-February 2019.

The UK was experiencing especially unseasonably calm and warm weather, and on an early-morning visit to the beach, I encountered a set of circumstances so magical, I had to bring them to life in a musical way.

The unique atmospheric conditions created a panorama, which, combined with the other-worldly landscape of Shingle Street, is hard to convey how special and beautiful it was. I have never seen the sea so still, with barely a lap at the shore. Every sound: the gaps between the shingle filled by the gently-gurgling, placid sea; hordes of gulls, terns - possibly a gannet - grazing on Orford Ness, their squawks echoing shrilly across the glass-still inlet; and the faint tolling of the bell buoy, a mile out to sea, carried across on the gentle breeze.
