Aurora

"No way back" is a piece for all refugees on this earth who have set out and do not look back, but courageously advance into a new, uncertain future. But at least in a future, in a future that they can shape themselves. A future where they can leave all the suffering behind and start anew. And yet, in many of these steps away from home, the melancholy of having left your own homeland resonates. Finally, there remains the hope of security, peace and inner peace.

Kein Weg zurück ist ein Stück für alle Geflüchteten auf dieser Erde, die sich aufgemacht haben und nicht zurückblicken, sondern mutig vorangehen in eine neue, ungewisse Zukunft. Aber immerhin in eine Zukunft, in eine Zukunft, die sie selbst gestalten können. Eine Zukunft, in der sie all das widerfahrene Leid zurücklassen können und neu beginnen. Und dennoch schwingt in vielen dieser Schritte weg von daheim die Wehmut mit, die eigene Heimat verlassen zu haben. Zuletzt bleibt die Hoffnung auf Sicherheit, Frieden und innere Ruhe.

PIANO DAY 2023: MACRIMA - No way back

On April 8, 2023 (Saturday), 3/4 of the target number of songs for this project will be achieved. Taking that opportunity, I plan to change the thumbnail for each song on soundcloud. I plan to change it to an image of a Japanese anime woman that I feel is pretty good these days. It has already been used in the music video below. Please take a look if you like.

This piece may might have good 1/f fluctuation characteristic although I stopped investigating it each piece.

I'm now making Archive site of Piano Ten Thousand Leaves project by utilizing #wordpress. Basically nice direction I've already gotten.. : )
Currently 1100 pieces already achieved. 
But this week I need to do something else, so I'm going to stop this task for a bit.

“Desert Darkness is a solo piano piece that I composed when I was seventeen years old. It was 1973, when Israel was attacked on the holy day of Yom Kippur. When composing “Desert Darkness," I attempted to describe the  sense of isolation, danger, despair, sadness, longing and devastations of senseless war. 

Music has the power to express and evoke a wide range of our emotions, in this piece I tried to capture the darkness and heartbreak of innocent lives lost. 

It is through music that we endeavor to have a deeper understanding and empathy for the experiences of others, even if we haven't directly experienced those situations ourselves.” -Lisa Linsky .
