"No way back" is a piece for all refugees on this earth who have set out and do not look back, but courageously advance into a new, uncertain future. But at least in a future, in a future that they can shape themselves. A future where they can leave all the suffering behind and start anew. And yet, in many of these steps away from home, the melancholy of having left your own homeland resonates. Finally, there remains the hope of security, peace and inner peace.

Kein Weg zurück ist ein Stück für alle Geflüchteten auf dieser Erde, die sich aufgemacht haben und nicht zurückblicken, sondern mutig vorangehen in eine neue, ungewisse Zukunft. Aber immerhin in eine Zukunft, in eine Zukunft, die sie selbst gestalten können. Eine Zukunft, in der sie all das widerfahrene Leid zurücklassen können und neu beginnen. Und dennoch schwingt in vielen dieser Schritte weg von daheim die Wehmut mit, die eigene Heimat verlassen zu haben. Zuletzt bleibt die Hoffnung auf Sicherheit, Frieden und innere Ruhe.

Sunshine in the Park ist ein Stück, das die Sehnsucht nach den ersten warmen Tagen nach dem langen Winter einfängt. Sonnenhungrig zieht es die Menschen nach draußen und in die Parks der Stadt. Überall hört man lebhaftes Lachen und sieht fröhliche und entspannte Gesichter. Was ein bisschen Sonne zu zaubern vermag...

Sinnsuche - Search for meaning

I haven't uploaded a new piece for a long time, which I find a little sad. The reason for this is that my music production PC broke. Of course, an adequate replacement costs a lot of money and that's why I'm currently saving for a new, great computer. Nevertheless, I would like to share some music with you I composed few weeks ago. Even if there are one or two gamblers in it, I hope that you enjoy something new from me. I recorded it with my cell phone while sitting at the piano. Have a wonderful pre-Christmas season with sparkling lights and fir green.

Lange Zeit habe ich kein neues Stück hochgeladen, was ich ein wenig traurig finde. Der Grund dafür ist, dass mein Musikproduktions-PC kaputtgegangen ist. Ein adäquater Ersatz kostet natürlich einen ganz schönen Batzen Geld und daher spare ich derzeit auf einen neuen, tollen Computer. Trotzdessen möchte ich nun doch ein wenig Musik mit euch teilen, die ich vor ein paar Wochen komponiert habe. Auch wenn der ein oder andere Verspieler drin ist, hoffe ich doch, dass ihr Freude an etwas Neuem von mir habt. Aufgenommen hab ich es mit meinem Handy direkt am Klavier sitzend. Habt eine wundervolle Vorweihnachtszeit mit Lichterglanz und Tannengrün.

I just love the autumn with its beautiful little joys here and there... wonderfully coloured leaves, tons of acorns and chestnuts on the ground, waiting hidden in the foliage to be found by children on their afternoon walks... the warmth of the golden september sun... Oh, it is a wonderful world... :D

This track is my contribution to the "FOUR CHORD CHALLENGE" from The Piano Cloud. 
It was big fun to create a piece with only the four chords G minor, D minor, Eb major and F major (in that order).

This is a piano solo improvisation that I played on my piano on the morning of Piano Day 2024. It had rained all night and the morning sun glittered in the drops of water on the leaves and flowers of the plants. A truly magical sight.

Dies hier ist eine Piano solo Improvisation, die ich am Morgen des Piano Day 2024 auf meinem Klavier gepielt habe. Es 
hatte die ganze Nacht geregnet und die Morgensonne glitzerte in den Wassertropfen auf den Blättern und Blüten der Pflanzen. Ein wirklich zauberhafter Anblick.

MACRIMA - Sonnenglut am Abend (für David)

I created this piano track after a visit of the wonderful city Zürich/ Switzerland in October 2015. I walked with a couple of friends along the lake promenade in the afternoon and found myself getting really relaxed despite all rainy, cold and foogy weather there. Now autumn completely took in my heart...<3

Motivationsmomente - Motivational moments

A track for my grandmother Martha who would have celebrated her 98th birthday today on the 19th of March. 
She loved the spring poem "Er ist's" from the german poet Eduard Möricke.  Every year in spring time she  recited it over hundred of times for us when the sky was blue and the warm sun was shining...I can hear her in my head right now and this is a wonderful memory I tried to catch with my piano...

Frühling lässt sein blaues Band
Wieder flattern durch die Lüfte;
Süße, wohlbekannte Düfte
Streifen ahnungsvoll das Land.
Veilchen träumen schon,
Wollen balde kommen.
—Horch, von fern ein leiser Harfenton!
Frühling, ja du bist's!
Dich habe ich vernommen!

Here is an English translation of the poem:

Spring lets his blue ribbons
flutter through the air again.
Sweet familiar scents
drift over the countryside,
full of promise;

violets are already dreaming
of their time time to come.

Nebeltag im Januar

Dieses Pianostück von mir widme ich meiner ehemaligen Klavierlehrerin Arietta Eberstadt, die am 09.12.2020 von dieser Welt gegangen ist. Sie war es, die meiner Liebe zur Klaviermusik Raum und Struktur gab und die mein Talent und meine Kreativität förderte. Soviel verdanke ich ihr. Mit diesem Stück möchte ich ihr ein letztes Mal "Danke" sagen für all das, was ich von ihr gelernt und mitgenommen habe und was in mir dank ihr wunderbares gewachsen ist. Happy Piano Day 2021!
