Maria, I don't really no what to say, I'm so moved by this! The piano playing from 3:00 up to this point is so beautiful that I just started to cry and it does not happen often. I started to think of meeting my grandmother in heaven one day, she passed away this spring. I often wonder what will be of this world, but songs like this give me some hope and courage! Thank you so much!

Feuchte Juniwiese

This piece is an improvisation about the feeling of anticipation in me when finally summer comes with its long evenings, its mild nights and hot days ... the air is laden with thousands of scents and I enjoy the view over my terrace with everyone Lying next to the flowers and bushes in a deck chair ... simply wonderful! 

Dieses Stück ist eine Improvisation über das Gefühl der Vorfreude in mir, wenn nun endlich der Sommer kommt mit seinen langen Abenden, seinen lauen Nächten und heißen Tagen... die Luft ist geschwängert mit abertausend Düften und ich genieße den Blick über meine Terrasse mit all den Blumen und Sträuchern im Liegestuhl liegend...einfach herrlich!

Vivons

This long-form piece, in which impressionist piano intertwines with sympathetic field recordings and found sounds, makes reference to and is influenced by an experience I had at the Suffolk coast in late-February 2019.

The UK was experiencing especially unseasonably calm and warm weather, and on an early-morning visit to the beach, I encountered a set of circumstances so magical, I had to bring them to life in a musical way.

The unique atmospheric conditions created a panorama, which, combined with the other-worldly landscape of Shingle Street, is hard to convey how special and beautiful it was. I have never seen the sea so still, with barely a lap at the shore. Every sound: the gaps between the shingle filled by the gently-gurgling, placid sea; hordes of gulls, terns - possibly a gannet - grazing on Orford Ness, their squawks echoing shrilly across the glass-still inlet; and the faint tolling of the bell buoy, a mile out to sea, carried across on the gentle breeze.
