"Metafonia" is the Italian word used to describe the phenomenon known in parapsychology as "electronic voices".

- Metafonia VI is the first track in the order of release, and the last in numerical order, of a series of compositions inspired by this phenomenon.

- Metafonia I is the second track in the order of release, and the first in numerical order, of a series of compositions inspired by this phenomenon. The dark atmosphere of this historical period is reflected in the dark character of this track.

- Metafonia III is the third track in the order of release and is the one where the source voices are most processed, in fact, they are made unrecognizable compared to the other sound elements that create the track.

- Metafonia II, IV, and V are the tracks where the editing has been minimal, to maintain the spirit of improvisation. Ideally, these three represent a second volume within the first volume.

Each track has been created using recorded vocal samples and processed in real-time with a laptop (with the addition of some synth). The only voice at the base of these tracks is mine (at least I believe, and especially hope, even though I can never be entirely sure), recorded while improvising random phrases, as if I were the medium of myself.

I waited for quite some time before deciding to complete and publish this series of tracks that I began accumulating since 2018. The gloomy atmosphere of late October 2020 made me realize that it was time to let them go.

This ethereal chapter in the Arkanæa series is built from falsetto sighs, reversed chant fragments, and airy drones that dissolve like veils in sacred wind.

Field recordings of wind harps, glass harmonics, and mist-filled sanctuaries blend with ghostly reverb tails from past sessions, reimagined as vapor.

Halloween che si avvicina e il clima tetro di questo periodo storico traspaiono dal carattere cupo del brano.
Ogni brano stato della serie è realizzato a partire da campioni vocali registrati ed elaborati in tempo reale con un laptop (e con l'aggiunta di un po' di synth). L'unica voce alla base di questi brani è la mia (almeno credo, e soprattutto spero, anche se non potrò mai esserne del tutto certo), registrata mentre improvvisavo frasi casuali, come fossi il medium di me stesso.
Ho aspettato diverso tempo prima di decidere di terminare e pubblicare questa serie di brani, l'atmosfera cupa di questo fine di ottobre 2020 mi ha fatto capire che era arrivato il momento di lasciarli andare.
Il progetto è di rilasciare tutte le tracce, una o due per volta, tra oggi e la sera del 31 ottobre (come da tradizione pagana), per raccoglierle in un unico album che sarà disponibile su Bandcamp...
