I discovered Ben Bohmer last year and instantly fell in love with all his music. Breathing has been the stand out track of his for me and I've always wanted to try and find a way to put it into my sets. As a result, this is what I came up with. Enjoy!

I've always wanted to remix a Kanye West song as he's been one of my favourites ever since I heard the album Graduation. After various attempts over the years at remixing different tracks of his I finally managed to make one work after listening to the Donda album. I chose Come to Life as I felt this track had an emotion like none of the others had. I wanted to keep the same vibe as the original but give it the old Macsen twist. I hope you enjoy!

The Chainsmokers have always been some of my favourite artists and I wanted to make a remix of one of their tracks from their new album. The moment I heard the teaser of riptide I knew that was the one I wanted to add my touch to. I've kept the structure of the song similar but spiced it up in my own way. ATC - All Around The World (Macsen Remix)

Made a more chilled track sampling Avicii's "Seek Bromance". I first played this track out at Rhythm and Vines and felt pretty happy with it. 

I initially made the chords progression with the intention to make a house track, but as I added the vocals it felt better to have it sit around the 70bpm mark to give it that more chilled/dreamy vibe.

Second original for the year. I was influenced by Flume, Hermitude, Droeloe and Louis the Child for this track. I really loved the Japanese "Konnichiwa" sample I found and felt that the whole song could be themed around this. The vocals chops were made from a J-Pop acapella I found. Definitely a different vibe from the past couple of tracks but I hope you enjoy!

Heard this track last Friday and fell in love with it straight away. I like the vibes and vocals from Winona Oak and knew I had to do something with it. I pushed the tempo up to 120bpm and gave it a chill house feel with some catchy vocal chops.

Was watching an episode of Narcos and heard the throwback of a tune Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat and figured I'd have a crack at remixing it. I then realised that I'd already started a remix of September's track Cry for you which samples Smalltown Boy. What started as just a future bass remix turned into something a lot different. Enjoy!
