One of the most exciting up and coming artists of recent times, Detlef makes his debut on the mighty Hot Creations with his ‘Kinky Tail EP’ featuring three jacking bombs plotting a riot on the dance floor.

In a short space of time Detlef shot into the limelight with releases and remixes for well-respected labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour, and Defected. Often billed on the same line-up with industry giants and with releases and remixes forthcoming on Edible Records, Hot Trax, Emerald City and Moon Harbour, Detlef is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Deetron's done the business once again, employing fierce synths to drive the track forward with intent. The cymbals thrash, the hi-hats stutter and the vocals seduce, prepare yourself for a face-melter.

The quote is, no doubt, fitting for NIKO SCHWIND, since the Berlin-based DJ and producer consistently demonstrates a deeply anchored love for and close bond to house music – the art form he himself has tamed. As a DJ, he travels the globe since 2001, having played in Europe, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, the US and Mexico, and in his sets he creates a feeling of connectedness between himself and others, as well as within the crowd. His first music on Autist Records, the label on which he subsequently releases his debut LP, ‘The Autistic Disco’, in May 2009, gathers the attention of many top DJs, such as Jeremy P. Caulfield, Ivan Smagghe and Mendo. It is only a matter of time before Oliver Koletzki takes notice of Niko’s productions and his DJ skills. The seventeenth Chapter brings together a cast headed by AFFECT! (Moodmusic, Chapter 24) and Maximillion (Tonkind) for an EP heavy on musicality.

Polyhymnia was in Greek mythology the Muse of sacred music and dance. AFFECT! and Maximillion channel this divine energy into the EP's title track, an uplifting melodic piece rich in organs and bright synths.

The original is accompanied by a set of Editions which each apply their own unique stamp on proceedings and result in a rounded, high quality EP. JOBE (Connaisseur, Selador) brings a more driving take on the original which gives it a cosmic edge. Stevie R and Alex Zed, founders of London's Inside Out Records, develop an intricate and organic groove for a more twisted, leftfield cut. Finally, young Peruvian talent Ly ChenG (Blankhaus) closes the EP with a wonderful piece of drifty, laidback electronica.

Named for one of the Nine Muses who sang from the sacred hills, this essential EP is sure to inspire rapture and reverence in all who listen.

Skream heads to Dusky's 17 Steps imprint and he'll be releasing a track as part of the 'Floor To Floor' compilation. 

The label sampler will also feature tracks from Alan Fitzpatrick, Mella Dee and Trevino and drops on June 3.

It's time now though to head to 'Room 959' and Skream once again reaches for the techno lasers. He employs jagged riffs, pounding kicks and killer claps to create yet another booming cut aimed right at the dancefloor. Big business.
