Wrote this track back in the summer of 2015 in Durham, NC while still at Duke. It was about 2am on a Saturday and there was a party going on downstairs / a big bonfire in the backyard. I felt exhausted from producing all day. I shut off my computer and left the studio to go hang with friends but there was some voice in my head telling me to go back. 

I booted the computer back up, wrote the chord progression in about 30 seconds, then randomly dropped 2 pieces of the acapella from Isley Brothers ft. Angela Winbush, Lil'Kim, 112 - "Float On" which fit surprisingly well. I brought a few friends into the studio soonafter and seeing the looks on their faces I knew this track must be finished.

Over the last 2 years I've made 186 versions and counting, and here is what it turned out to be. 

Fun fact: the original name of the project file was "Bout 2 Go 2 Sleep."

Cassy delivers the fourth release on her own label of the same name with an EP aptly titled 'Cassy 004', featuring the haunting and hypnotic house cut 'One (Cassy Reshape)'.

Following her acclaimed debut solo album 'Donna', released on Aus Music in 2016, Cassy has released a string of remixes on Powerplant, Turbo, Echoe and Watergate. Now she is finally set to unveil her original material in order to reawaken her Cassy imprint which launched in 2006. The 'Cassy 004' EP showcases a sound profile in a similar motif to the harder end of her DJ sets.

Look for the 'Cassy 004' EP, which also includes two more originals, to be released September 15.
