The fast-rising Irish talent lands a thrilling debut on Truesoul. 

Symptomatic of the fertile scene in his home country, Rebūke is rapidly making a mark courtesy of his patented soundclash of house, techno and rave. His Outhouse parties which run regularly in his hometown of Letterkenny, Ireland, have made an impression, hosting the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Mella Dee, Ejeca, Kettama and Huxley all in the last 12 months. While on the release front he’s landed strong EPs on Dirtybird, DFTD and Hot Creations, where his track ‘Along Came Polly’ was anointed Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and spent five weeks at no.1 in Beatport’s overall charts.

He pulls no punches on his maiden outing for Truesoul. ’50 First Raves’ is a fizzing, technicoloured trip as urgent synth stabs and bouncy bottom end juxtapose with uplifting melodic interludes crafted for peak-time impact. ‘Posers Ray Gun’, is a fleet-footed mongrel bleeding together influences that span chunky breakbeats, hoovers and exhilarating warehouse-ready rave with rough-edged house music dynamics. ‘Ready To Fly’ is Rebūke’s take on a traditional tribal house record, but with his energetic rave-infused twist.

Will Clarke drops his second EP on Truesoul this year, building on an impressive debut during winter.

We got our first taste of Will Clarke sonic prowess in February when he teamed up with Eli Brown to deliver the wicked acid house fireball ‘Our Love’. The track stands as a 2019 highlight for Truesoul and ensured Will was in pole position for a follow up on Adam Beyer’s label.

‘Nothing Is Forever’ comes a mere six months later and stands as Will’s first instrumental EP, eschewing his normal vocal-orientated approach to craft a trio of melodically rich cuts. ‘Mucaj’ drips with atmosphere, driven by layered chords and shimmering tops. The title track exudes a peak-time stomp as persistent synths build and undulate with thrilling intensity, all with a menacing retro-techno tinge. ‘Meta’ was made during a pre-dawn session in Will’s studio and is another of the artist’s brilliant juxtapositions of darkness and light, as searing subterranean synth lines and knife-sharp percussion give space to a stirring string sequence.

Making her debut on Leftwing : Kody’s Lost Records this month is Ibiza based DJ and producer, Miane. Formerly known as Taty Munoz, Miane steps up to become a name in her own right with releases so far on well-established labels; Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour and Rawthentic plus a forthcoming release on Steve Lawler’s ViVA. Title track ‘I Can’t Sleep’ further cements her place in the industry as one of the most interesting names in Tech House right now with its punchy drums, mesmerizing atmospherics and a cavernous low-end. ‘Gear’ rounds of the EP with more of the same; crisply mixed percussion, an infectious bassline, captivating vocal stabs and percolating rhythms.

Hot Creations welcome the legendary Danny Tenaglia, as he delivers his first piece of solo produced music for more than a decade. On remix duty is one of the greatest DJs to grace the electronic music scene, Carl Cox, alongside exceptional New Jersey house producer Harry Romero.

Rebūke joins the Drumcode family with a blistering three-track EP.

We got our first taste of the Irishman’s exhilarating talents when he debuted on Truesoul back in April with ’50 First Raves’. His unique alchemy of house, techno and rave has seen him become one of the breakout stars of 2019 and ensured he’s stayed firmly on the radar of Adam Beyer.

Inspired by his experiences at Drumcode’s now-legendary party at Space Miami during WMC, Rebūke’s DC debut encompasses all the dynamic energy of his previous contributions, with peak-time pounding effect. ‘Rattle’ leads the trio, a cut voraciously track I.D’d by Rebūke’s fanbase and highly anticipated across the industry after a high-impact play during Radio 1’s Weekender in Ibiza. The track pops with the producer’s trademark rubbery rhythms, pin-sharp drums, intermittent rave horns and a wicked acid line, culminating in a high-octane trip that’s one of the most thrilling we’ve heard on DC this year. ‘Operator’ spits fierce drum sequences before a tweaked-out bass melody grows with undulating intensity giving the track it’s shining character. ‘Metal’ builds with intergalactic stabs and claps before a menacing low-end melody enters the fore and his signature percussion gives the track an otherworldly tribal crunch.
