4.5 hours of B2B2B between DJ Madden, Martin Saar (Estonia) and Eulen aus Chrom (Switzerland) from camp Endstation in Global Camp Village. This is what came up during the Universal Rain Downpour was falling on us. Madden played only his productions for 4.5 hours... and still had more of his music to play!! Dear fellow humans. Please take a moment to read this. 

This downtempo set was meant to happen live in the Maxa Deer, alongside epic musicians and their instruments on the Friday sunset of Burning Man 2023, yet we had to surrender to a storm that humbled us all and gave us a true rebirth. So we decided to still create a set to elevate a powerful message and we are deeply honored to raise these spiraling frequencies of wisdom to the world through the Maxa Platform that is true family to us.  
Our inspiration for this DownUnders chapter is the collective metamorphosis we are navigating. We cannot deny It feels dark, so It’s more important than ever to keep our hearts open and connect to our craft, as a way to maintain our inner harmony in balance through the turbulence of a wild world. 

This musical journey also reflects the depths of intentionality beating in the heart of Maxa which are now birthing to light for the community. As much passion as we have for electronic music that makes us fly on a dancefloor, we are also widening the spectrum and welcoming other angles of musical craft which can delight our ears in a slow and loving way that speaks to our soul. 

It is so important for us to hear which parts of this journey resonate with you, so If you have something powerful to share in the comments please do so. Now, we do support free expression, yet are also sensitive to the fact that we are all overwhelmingly flooded by dual information in all platforms, so we kindly share… this is by NO means a space to take sides or express political opinions, we will NOT tolerate flags or any kind of propaganda in the comments, this is merely a universal expression of love and a calling for unity through music, so with all our hearts help us get spread the message in a peaceful and harmonious way.

The day will come where we get to share in flesh from the echoes of the Maxa Deer in Black Rock City.

For now, here is another 4 hour immersion into music and poetry to inspire you through the Spirals of Growth.

down unders ft. Zohar - Maxa - Burning Man 2023

I have been feeling a bit low energy for the last couple of weeks after returning to the USA and facing "real life". Darkness has kidnapped my system a bit and I'm struggling to focus on the positive and dial down the negative. I'm also a bit "homeless" and couchsurfing at a friend's apartment while I figure my shit out, which has been a blessing but tough nonetheless. I have not found the energy to record a new set, but instead I want to share with you one from November 2009, a time that feels like eons ago but realistically isn't. When listening to the music I used to play back then I can remember a glimpse of optimism and joy, the uncomplicated life, when I lived an inexpensive life in Barcelona as a younger version of myself. Enjoy!

Jorge Madden is a true artist and music connoisseur. He grew up practicing watersports and creating music in the Canary Islands (Spain), exposed to a rich melting pot of rhythms from salsa to UK garage, happy hardcore, trance, 80s and 90s pop, and eurohouse.

While pursuing a career as a professional athlete and dancer, he grew his reputation producing radio jingles, music for fitness competitions, and mixing music sessions for world-renowned presenters like Carmen Diaz.

His talent and uniqueness mixing records earned him residencies at legendary clubs in Spain like Catedral (Sevilla), Shoko (Barcelona), and Pacha (Barcelona and Ibiza). He is also well-known among the Burningman community for spinning exquisite 10+ hour-long marathon storytelling sets.

Madden is a prolific music producer with over 20 releases of diverse genres from tech house to melodic techno. His personal style is melodic, groovy, with a head-turning element of surprise. He also curates content for the Todobien record label.
