This piece started out about 5 years ago under the title "34 Million Miles". (also on my YouTube channel). I recently remixed and edited the arrangement.

THE TECH.... This track was inspired by an old sound sample I had. I sliced this in the Ableton Live Simpler, FXd it to the max, created a new 8 bar rhythmic loop and then added the "pads and bells" layers. Then building a melody, counter harmonies and angelic voices to give it energy and movement. The "odd" oboe/sax lead sound for the melody is sculptured with an old Native Instruments virtual patch in Absynth.

Cyber Warz. The Epic Voyage

The new catchy EDM pop banger in the style of David Guetta... The Hutch goes Electronic pop / Future Rave !!! Turn it up and bang your head.

Having covered  the million seller "I'm Good" by David Guetta (on SoundCloud), the lure of electronic sounds and modern EDM style pop is fascinating me right now. Another "out of my comfort zone" challenge for me. This freshly composed pop tune is based on a vocal stem from Splice but is a scratch production, and in doing so, learning the nuances of modern synths and drum and bass production. Way beyond my usual rock guitar stuff.

I gave it my best shot and quite pleased with it overall. Made me realise there is more technical skills to this genre than I anticipated.

Can You Handle It?

WELCOME TO THE HUTCH - SO GLAD YOU CAME!! ... This is my musical home, a "work-in-progress" / an archive that aims to be a tasty pot of musical ideas... sometimes plain, old, original, sometimes off-centre or more likely inspired by Old Skool rock / blues, the people I meet and sometimes a chaotic wandering life will be in there somewhere.

For too long, I neglected my life's passion and wandered a musical wilderness... Now I'm scratching my way back to a musical life I should never have left.

If nothing else, this is first and foremost, for my own greater good, to ease a wary soul, shield me from the slings and arrows of modern life and so keeping me from insanity.  !
