What a journey it has been with this track. I first made this bootleg remix in 2016/17 after watching a vice documentary that featured the original by Tessela. I never finished the documentary. At the time I was sending music to Dutch DJs and getting support from the likes of Bart B More and DJ Chuckie. I ended up stumbling across Mr Belt and Wezol and sent it to them, honestly I just enjoyed the vibe and wanted to share what I'd done. The track won demo of the week.

After that the track was played live in clubs all over the world and in 2021 it went viral on Tiktok with over 1 million views. Spinnin Records tried to get it cleared for release, we were not successful. So here it is. No downloads enabled.

Sanguinius: A Tragic Hero of Light

Sanguinius, the Primarch of the Blood Angels, was born with angelic wings, unmatched grace, and a spirit defined by nobility and compassion. Despite his beauty and strength, he carried a silent burden from the moment he opened his eyes: visions of his own death, a fate he could never escape.

After being scattered across the galaxy as an infant, he grew up on the harsh world of Baal, where he united the radiation-scarred tribes and protected them with a kindness rare among the Emperor’s sons. When the Emperor finally found him, Sanguinius embraced Him immediately, becoming not only one of His most beloved children but also one of the greatest champions of the Imperium.

Under Sanguinius, the Blood Angels became renowned for their artistry, discipline, and near-divine heroism. But tragedy hid beneath their radiance: a genetic flaw known as the Red Thirst — a dark echo of their Primarch’s own death — haunted them, tying their fate inseparably to his.

During the Horus Heresy, when his closest brother Horus fell to Chaos and launched a civil war against the Emperor, Sanguinius became one of humanity’s last pillars of hope. He knew the prophecy of his own end and faced it without hesitation.

At the climax of the war, during the Siege of Terra, Sanguinius confronted Horus aboard the traitor’s flagship, knowing full well he would die. He fought with everything he had — out of loyalty, love, and the desperate hope of breaking through to the brother he once adored. He was slain, but not in vain: his sacrifice weakened Horus, giving the Emperor the chance to end the traitor and save humanity at the cost of His own mortal body.

Sanguinius’ death became a moment engraved in the very soul of the Imperium. His sons honor him as a martyr, a symbol of perfect courage, and the brightest light extinguished in humanity’s darkest hour. His legacy burns on through the Blood Angels, who carry both his angelic glory and the shadow of his final agony.
