This was the first time I saw and heard Krsna dasa Babaji, and it was the inspiration for my kirtan style and mrdanga style. I restored the original damaged cassette tape as best I could.

The picture of Krsna Dasa Babaji is from the actual event. He was one of Srila Prabhupada's dearest friends and Godbrother.

Srila Prabhupada says:

Rama and Krishna are names of God, and Hare is the energy of God. So when we chant the maha-mantra, we address God together with His energy. This energy is of two kinds, the spiritual and the material. At present we are in the clutches of the material energy. Therefore we pray to Krishna that He may kindly deliver us from the service of the material energy and accept us into the service of the spiritual energy. That is our whole philosophy. Hare Krishna means, "O energy of God, O God [Krishna], please engage me in Your service." It is our nature to render service. Somehow or other we have come to the service of material things, but when this service is transformed into the service of the spiritual energy, then our life is perfect.

O beloved Radharaman, Shri Gopal Bhatt's darling. Glory to

the most beautiful yellow clothes and the peacock feather on
your crown bows to the left (because Priyaju sits there). The
swaying dolphin-shaped earrings (makar kundal) you wear
enhance the elegance of your cheeks. Your face is decorated
by your naughty eyes, charming words and soft smile. A
garland of five flowers (vaijayanti mala) offers its beauty to
you and the bells on your waist chime, making the sweetest
sound. The way you pose is so graceful, with your body
curved in three places and your cowherding stick in hand.
Your lotus feet with their tinkling anklebells are
Gunmanjari’s shelter, and she keeps them in her heart. All

Many are confused when it comes to choosing a spiritual master.
