I wrote this song in Shueyville, IA with my amazing pal, Karleigh Schilling back in 2018. We were both freshman in college and it was our first spring break back home. Coming home after being away for a long time is the best feeling and we wanted to capture those feelings in a song. Even if you are 10 hours away or 30 minutes away, being away from the ones you love can be hard. 'Home' reminds us that after all the crazy changes and journeys life can send us on, we will always have a home to go back to. Thank you to Rocco Fiorentino for bringing this song to life and shout out to my brother Nate for the artwork design!

Here's To Me

Growing up in small town Fairfax, Iowa, Madie Renner discovered her love for music at a young age. From humble beginnings of making YouTube music videos with her friends to crafting song mashups for high school performances, Madie has spent years working towards perfecting her craft. She decided late in her high school career to pack up and move across the country to pursue her musical talents and hopefully turn them into a full-time career as a professional songwriter. She is currently a Junior studying Songwriting at Belmont University and is well on her way to making this dream come true.  Madie enjoys writing a wide variety of genres including singer/songwriter, pop, and Christian music. Last Christmas, ”Sleigh”, a song she co-wrote with artist Tess Clare, was featured on Seventeen Magazine’s “Best New Christmas Songs of 2019”. Her favorite part of songwriting is the effect her songs can have on people's emotions and she feels it is a great way to stay in touch with her own emotions as well. When she's not writing songs she spends her time leading the Belmont Club Tennis team or experiencing the many sights and sounds Nashville has to offer.
