I am Madison Dohnt, age 18. 

My Love and passion for music began from the moment I could walk and talk. At the age of four I was strumming an acoustic guitar and singing lyrics I’d created about my very simple and happy day-to-day life. During my primary school years I first learnt to play the keyboard and soon moved to percussion. I wanted to learn all the elements that gelled together to make music magic.

When I was just 9 I joined the Queensland Pop Choir to further my passion for singing. My journal of original lyrics had now become an everyday accessory, as I valued every opportunity to write lyrics to express my feelings. I really treasure the opportunity to express my feelings through song to impact my audiences in an emotional way. I love to portray a message and tell a story with song.

With my desire to sing and song write and the realization that I would love to record my music and pursue it as a career, I began to learn guitar. I was a student at Wild Hearts for 4 years, and a guitar and vocal teacher at the studio for 3 years. This is a dream come true as not only did I get to pursue my dreams, I also had the opportunity to encourage others to do the same.

I have had a Sunshine Coast busking license for the last 3 years in the hope of further promoting my music. Since moving to Brisbane for university I have dreamed of city busking and I will hopefully obtain my Brisbane busking license after the October auditions. By using my YouTube channel to post my covers and originals I inspire to reach a greater audience.
