Incognitus Sound

This is the seventh song I've created, mixed and produced in FL Studio: a snazzy UK garage track heavily influenced by the music by Artful Dodger and Craig David.

I initially came up with this track last month after I downloaded the trial version of FL Studio. After familiarizing myself with the digital audio workstation (DAW) and its features, I put together a short 1-minute demo consisting of its primary riff. So this could've been the first track I ever made in FL Studio.

I originally intended to make this an acid jazz track inspired by the soundtracks for a few video games including Super Mario 3D World and Persona 5. But, after making a few tracks over the past seven weeks, I decided to remake it from scratch as a garage track.

Under My Wings

Here is my final electronic track for the year 2021: a progressive house remix of the classic Christmas song "Jingle Bells" by James Pierpont. This remix also features "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" by Arthur Warrell at the beginning and end.

When the year 2021 began, I was feeling very pessimistic about the future due to my country undergoing lockdown yet again. I was so negative about everything that I ended up ruining a few online friendships beyond repair.

I initially believed that this year would be just as bad as 2020 which was the worst year of my life. But that was before I felt inspired to get into serious music production in the middle of August. After almost two years of being clinical depression and having no dreams to keep me going, I finally found a new ambition to pursue: to become a successful EDM (electronic dance music) producer.

As of mid-August 2021, my journey as an EDM producer has only just begun. So far, I've only produced one album which is due to stream online on February 1st 2022. Next year, I'll be producing a new album and preparing to hopefully reach out to other producers, musicians and vocalists for collaboration.

Until then, Merry Christmas to all my family and friends and a Happy New Year!

I arranged the first mix of this R&B-style remix in KORG M01D several months ago, but I didn't start working on the additional tracks until just yesterday.

It was only after playing "Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy - Curtain Call" on my 3DS for about 40 hours so far (with breaks) that I felt motivated to finish this remix of "Memories" (one of my favourite songs in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy) once and for all.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Memories (Soothing Lullaby Remix)

This is my latest electronic music track, "e-STAR - Theme of Ivonne Claudina". This track is named after my debut character whom I created for Cyberpunk 2083, a homebrew Cyberpunk RED game which I play once weekly online via Roll20.

Having started playing Cyberpunk RED near the beginning of February 2024, I felt eager to resume music production and create electronic tracks for my active tabletop role-playing characters, starting with Ivonne "e-STAR" Claudina.

Out of all the player characters I've created thus far, e-STAR may be my favourite, as of now, thus overtaking Naoki Daimon, my long-time Tremere Anarch character whom I retired last year.

This is a demo of the main theme for Incognitus Tales: Brimland Bounty Battlers, an upcoming homebrew Dungeons & Dragons adventure module which I'm currently fleshing out.

I composed and recorded this demo two weeks ago via KORG Gadget on my Nintendo Switch and then mixed both audio tracks tonight in FL Studio.

As the subtitle "FF Tribute Demo" suggests, this demo is meant to be a tribute to Nobuo Uematsu, a world-renowned Japanese video game composer. He was best known for his soundtracks for the popular Final Fantasy franchise, from FF1 on the NES to FF14 on Steam and PlayStation 4 and 5.

This demo is my token of my appreciation of his countless musical masterpieces in light of his recent retirement from music composition.

This mixtape is a tribute to one of my favourite video game composers of all time, Masafumi Takada (born 1970), former Grasshopper Manufacture composer and founder of Sound Prestige Records. He is best known for his unique soundtracks for Grasshopper Manufacture games including "Flower, Sun and Rain", "killer7" and "No More Heroes". He also produced the soundtracks for Spike Chunsoft's "Danganronpa" franchise (i.e. three video games and one animated series) as well as music for Nintendo games including "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" and "Kid Icarus: Uprising". His music often experiments with elements from many music genres (e.g. pop, rock, jazz, electronic, hip-hop, etc.) thus making his style widely varied.

This tribute mixtape features songs taken from seven different soundtracks (all of which Masafumi Takada worked on) and mixes them all down to one seamless, exhilarating seven-minute soundscape. This was mainly produced to celebrate the recent Japanese release of "Absolute Despair Girls: Danganronpa Another Episode" for the PlayStation Vita.

The Masafumi Takada Mixtape

This here is a short drum 'n' bass song which I composed primarily in KORG M01D (with additional instruments including the synthetic vocals made in KORG DSN-12) for the Nintendo 3DS.

Its light yet fast-paced melody was heavily influenced by "On Your Way," the menu theme for for Namco's "Ridge Racer Type 4" (1998) while the art style for the splash screen was influenced by the theatrical posters by Saul Bass (1920-1996).

World After Midnight - Main Theme (Primary Mix)

This is the primary mix of Azure Flare, my latest electronic house track and the character theme for Trevon MacRowan, an Anglo-African barista and martial arts student in New York.

Trevon MacRowan is a character based on my Avatar in Street Fighter 6, the latest installment in Capcom's iconic fighting game franchise. His fighting style can be best described as Shotokan-Style Karate with elements of Tiger-Style Kempo, much akin to the styles of Ken Masters and Chun-Li.

As such, in this track, I have included leitmotifs from the themes of my favourite Street Fighter characters, namely Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Alex, Luke, and Manon.

Azure Flare - Trevon MacRowan (Primary Mix)

This is my R&B-style remix of "Everything You've Ever Dreamed," the unused ending theme for the infamous animated film "End of Evangelion".

When I first listened to the original song this spring, I immediately fell in love with its soothing ballad melody combined with its deep and enlightening lyrics. I consider it to be the more positive counterpart to the film's insert song "Komm, süsser Tod" (Come Sweet Death).

Having listened to the song dozens of times over the past few months, I've considered remixing it in a slightly more upbeat R&B fashion for a while.

Now that summer has finally arrived (and the final Rebuild film is now in production), I believe this is the best time to release my remix of this criminally overlooked bonus track.

Everything You've Ever Dreamed (Rebuild Remix 01)

NOTE: This is a work-in-progress demo. The final mix will differ.

This is a quick demo of my synth arrange for Michael Nyman's Love Theme for the sci-fi survival horror video game ENEMY ZERO, designed by Kenji Eno. ENEMY ZERO was the second installment in Kenji Eno's D trilogy of video games, starting with D, and ending with D2.

Michael Nyman is most famous for the soundtrack which he wrote and arranged for the live-action movie The Piano. A few years after the release of The Piano, he was hired by Kenji Eno to write the soundtrack for ENEMY ZERO after a chance meeting.

The Love Theme for ENEMY ZERO, as of now, may be one of my favourite instrumental chamber tracks to be ever written for a video game. It was beautifully written with an easy-going waltz rhythm and a simple yet memorable chord progression and melody.

This is a quick remix of 'Born to be free', the first stage track in the arcade game METAL BLACK, developed by Taito Corporation and released back in 1991. This arcade game was best-known for its bleak and increasingly surreal atmosphere throughout, thanks to the progressive soundtrack composed by Yasuhisa Watanabe and produced by ZUNTATA.

To celebrate, here's a mash-up with a song that I felt matches unbelievably well with "I Want You"; Jet Set Radio Future's famous title screen theme "The Concept of Love"!

Originally, I was going to mix this song in real-time using Mixxx and add some filter and cross-fading effects. Alas, I found trying to beat-match both tracks a seemingly endless nightmare (even though they were in perfect sync prior to using Mixxx). So I gave up and left the mash-up's Final Mix as it is now.

House of the Dead - 20th Anniversary Medley

My second game ever, Comfort: Endless Struggle, has gotten nowhere since a temporary member of my development team abandoned us without warning on May 2014 (five months after the project started).

Thus, this game has been regretfully cancelled due to one year of inaction and the key members of Incognitus Entertainment (including myself) being far too occupied with other business.

To compensate to any and all fans of the original Comfort, here is the entire soundtrack for the cancelled game.

Should we ever have the time and resources to start again from scratch, all gameplay aspects of Endless Struggle will be carried over to the next game (if it can be brought to fruition).

The first part features my melancholic waltz "Enigma" while the second part features my more optimistic waltz "Subconscious" (which I've never uploaded before). I improvised both of these songs separately on keyboard when I was only 16 years old. Where does the time go?

Latentis Arcanum in F-Sharp Minor, Op. 1

Latentis Arcanum

Here is one of my two final songs for this year; a soothing waltz I imagined one evening as I was humming to myself and passing the Christmas lights in Eastleigh.

I was humming a few of my favourite waltzes including Chopin's "Nocturne No. 2" and Taku Iwasaki's main theme for Persona: Trinity Soul. That was when I started piecing together a waltz of my own. Originally, I was going to call it the "Wanderer's Impromptu", but it's not really an impromptu since I didn't make it out of a jam session.

In any case, I hope this soothing tune helps you get a good night's sleep, be it on New Year's Day or beyond.

It's been two and a half years since I arranged a video game remix from scratch (my previous being the House of the Dead 20th Anniversary Medley). And I managed to arrange, mix and record this within 24 hours!

This foreboding electronic medley covers three Chaos Alignment theme songs in the Shin Megami Tensei series (I, II and IV) to serve as a companion piece to the Law Alignment's official medley (i.e. "Battle C5 - Archangel Battle" in Shin Megami Tensei IV).

This short but sweet ballad is the character theme song for Kurtis Leonoir, a Toreador Dhampir character I created for the popular storytelling game 'World of Darkness'.

The melody of this little vampire's lullaby was heavily inspired by Gustav Holst's 'Planets Suite' (Op. 32), namely the 1st and 4th Movements ('Mars' and 'Jupiter') which I first heard in the puzzle-platform game 'Catherine'.

Glimmers of the Unknown - Chronicle Soundtrack

Leonoir Lullaby (Dare to Live)

This sinister symphonic track is a gift for a player of the World of Darkness chronicle, 'Glimmers of the Unknown', which I've been playing for over eight weeks as of now.

This track was specifically composed as a 'villain song' for their two characters, the Lasombra Professor Isabella and her demonic 'therapist' Dr. Ana, who recently became enemies of my character, Kurtis Leonoir.

The melody was heavy influenced by various horror-themed games including Luigi's Mansion and Castlevania as well as the wacky symphonic work of Danny Elfman and Grant Kirkhope.

No Failures

Here is my final song for the year: a slow and solemn piano ballad backed with symphonic instruments. This happens to be my third Incognitus Symphony with the first being 'Latentis Arcanum' and the second being the 'Wanderer's Waltz', both of which I composed back in 2017.

Hopefully, this song will mark the beginning of another new journey for me which will lead me to making myself and other people happier than before.

Hermit's Waltz in F Minor, Op. 3

Hermit's Waltz

This is a synthesized arrangement of an excerpt from Gustav Holst's 'Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity' as part of his Planets orchestral suite.

I first heard this song along with 'Mars, the Bringer of War' in Atlus' puzzle-platformer game 'Catherine'. I then heard it sung as 'I Vow To Thee, My Country' at Eastleigh War Memorial during the Remembrance Day centenary service.

I liked this song so much that I listened to it on New Year's Day 2019. I felt like the song lifted my spirits along with my expectations for the year. And, thankfully for me, 2019 may've been the most successful year of my life.

2020, on the other hand, has been the worst year of my life. So, to make up for all the emptiness and pain I endured over the months, I felt like paying homage to this song before the year ends.

So, here it is: my synthesized homage to one of my all-time favourite classical songs.

The Planets, Op. 32: IV. Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity (excerpt) [Arr. for Synth]

It's been a year since I last composed an Incognitus Symphony. This is my darkest song yet: a foreboding organ piece inspired by similar music in various Japanese role-playing games including Final Fantasy and Shin Megami Tensei.

"Antipathy" is another word for dislike and hostility. Ever since my teenhood, I've been holding a grudge towards people in general. This grudge of mine gradually became stronger year after year with every unpleasant encounter with people.

When the coronavirus pandemic began last year, I lost all faith in mankind along with all hope for the future. I became a nihilistic and pessimistic misanthrope, burning a few of my bridges in the process.

So, here it is: my grudge towards mankind given musical form. Listen if you dare.
