LuckyMe are very proud to present the second release from Cid Rim – Mute City. 

Continuing with themes from his beautiful self titled debut last year - Mute City finds Austrian producer Clemens Bacher continuing to forge his own emotionally sophisticated electronic music that defies our contemporary classifications. Simply, he doesn’t fit. And there’s some good reason: hailing from Vienna where Bacher was recognized as an prominent young free jazz drummer, tutor and multi-instrumentalist – he was always cultivating the sound of ‘Cid Rim’ bringing a patina of otherworldy musicianship to his progressive electronic hip hop. The chords employed across Mute City are thick, distorted and complex. His background in jazz informs an approach that is perhaps true of all of the LuckyMe artists- there is no rule book here and it’s definitely more fun without one.

The partners in crime return to their base. French style rocket Cerato and label owner DePulse teamed up again for the next common release. “Cocobolo” comes as rolling dancefloor tool with catchy elements on the tops and with a powerful sub-bass that knows where to groove. Turning around the virtual vinyl, we have a solo monster from Rafael on the flip. “Modulation” is another argument for the peak time, with an easy but very straight bassline and a typical Cerato-vocoder that both introduce the wild and freaking out synthesizer line. JEAHMON! turns up the volume.

London-based producer and singer @elli_music unveils ‘In Your Eyes’, a stomping rework of the 2002 Kylie classic. The brand new track marks the first in a string of solo releases from the Greek artist.

“I’ve always loved Kylie, she is so inspiring. 'Fever' is a stunning album, I remember dancing to it non-stop when it was released. ‘In Your Eyes’ was always my favourite. The video is very much a DIY affair, shot on my iPhone with a friend at my building in London. I wanted to capture the early hours' vibe after a night out - seeing your crush,” said Elli on the new single.

With bright chords, pumping rhythms, and gripping bass lines, the fast-rising talent Aldonna (@aldonna) emerges from Melbourne’s underground with her ‘Morph’ EP, including remixes from Alex Kassian (@alexkassian) and Marli (@marlimusicau), set for release via us, your favorite fuckin' label.

Having cut her teeth in Melbourne's lively community with her party series Re-Leaf and as a fixture on the Australian club circuit, Aldonna’s sound is clearly supercharged with dancefloor energy. And her passion hasn't gone unnoticed. Cosigns from the likes of BICEP, who tapped her to contribute to their acclaimed ‘Feel My Bicep’ mix series, prove she’s been an artist to watch for some time. Now with her debut EP, she introduces her own distinct sound which traverses seamlessly through nostalgic trance motifs and hyper ravey breaks. Aldonna is clearly making a push to be an unstoppable force in clubland.

The EP leads off with ‘Nights In Shizuoka’ and a rugged rhythm laying the foundation for arpeggiated synths building until a mystical pan flute carries the ballad to heavenly heights. Throughout the release, Aldonna showcases a knack for playing with a multitude of sonic textures, and the next track titled 'Air Sign' possesses layers of immersive textures, from tight acid lines to bubbling ambiance, haunting vocal chops, and warm emotive melodies layered over pumping breaks for an ecstatic anthem. The a-side concludes with 'For All That We Know' as a tight bass line sets the stage for Aldonna to build on her playful aesthetic with a shimmering and exuberant melody.

On the flip side, Aldonna goes full rave mode with 'The Empress' Acid Line', leading with chopped breaks before an infectious acid riff creeps and builds with seductive vocals, delivering massive energy that is palpable. Following the originals is a remix by Berlin-based Love On The Rocks mainstay Alex Kassian who aims his version of 'The Empress' Acid Line' at the most euphoric dancefloor moments and delivers a tried and true trancey euro-house weapon not to be overlooked. Rounding out the release is Melbourne’s own Marli who flips 'Air Sign' with a rumbling bass line to reveal a bumping house cut that will satisfy the most vibrant crowds in the dance.

The new EP, 'Interdépendence', follows on from his highly acclaimed debut album ‘Reflections On Intrinsic Value’ and further contributions to labels such as Pressure Dome, Planet Euphorique and Jungle Gym.

Ronan’s productions are described as ‘aquatic sounds for healing’ and this release for On Loop is no different. Very much driven by percussion, the EP opens with a trippy dub-infused ‘Suderoso’, whilst the second track ‘Interdependence’ showcases a more emotional driven production, filled with blissful, ethereal pads and hypnotic vocal samples. I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.
