Feel The Acid On Wave

Not everyone is on holiday, even in the heat of summer. Some still work while the city falls silent, stretched under a long, empty day. I can’t tell if the man expects something to happen; to me, it feels like nothing will happen today either. Anyway, everything's good.

This is the third in a series of eight easy, acoustic, rather short, and deliberately inconclusive tracks, assembled by combining new ideas with reworked older material, adding parts and sounds along the way.

I look back on this track fondly, as it reflects itself in the mirror with new gifts.

5 years ago I collaborated with dark electronic artist/vocalist INRGD.

She contributed her gorgeous ethereal vocals to music I had sent. Fellow producer Belial Pelegrim skillfully mixed her vocals perfectly to the material.

The result was the track “Eudiamonia”. This remains one of my favorite collaborations- the beauty and purity of INRGD’s vocals resonated deeply on this track, giving a near chilling emotive power.

By allowing this track to expose itself in reverse, I’ve found another level of emotion derived. Even more ghostly, almost that of a different realm altogether - yet equally intended to touch the soul.

waves folding into triangles and circles
as if the ocean had learned to play with blocks. 
Above, the sun unravels into bright shards, 
scattering like toys in the sky. 
It feels joyful, almost innocent. 
Yet every color carries a hush. 
Summer is only tidying up its games before slipping quietly away.
