In spring of 2012, the Madrigal Singers performed in Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa, California at a Heritage Festival. The group was ranked as the highest-scoring chamber choir of the festival, and gave a featured encore performance in Segerstrom Hall. 

The Madrigals' competitive set consisted of four pieces:

-"Il bianco e dolce cigno" (Arcadelt)
-"Cantate Domino" (Monteverdi)
-"The Road Home" (Paulus)
-"Wade in de Water" (Koepke)
