On September 2nd Techno mainstays Pig&Dan are set to release a special EP entitled ‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ via their own imprint, ELEVATE, which will soon celebrate its milestone 50th release.

This exclusive remix package features four stunning reworks of ‘Growler’ and ‘The Saint (Job San)’, the lead tracks taken from the duo’s acclaimed fourth album, ‘Modular Baptism’ which was released earlier this year. 

‘Modular Baptism’ was a record that further solidified Pig&Dan’s status as one of the most exciting Techno acts in the business, with the album claiming the #1 spot on Beatport and singles such as ‘Growler’ reaching the top spot in Beatport’s Techno chart and #2 overall.

Kicking off proceedings are two alluring reinterpretation of the duo’s aforementioned banger ‘Growler’. The first comes from Spanish DJ/producer Alberto Ruiz, who fuses the original’s deep resounding synth-riff with warped industrial sounding effects, and the second from rising London-based Brazilian-born talent Vinicius Honorio, who ventures down an even darker route with fierce distorted synths crashing against the more melodic moments of the track to great effect.

Following on are two excellent re-rubs of ‘The Saint (Job San)’. The first comes from revered NY based DJ/producer Boris, who turns the melodic masterpiece into a sharp, dark Techno roller featuring a relentless array of synth stabs. The second remix comes from French-born Geneva-based underground king Lee Van Dowski, who provides a euphoric sounding framework by bringing the original’s piano chords to the front of the mix and introducing squelching synths towards the end of the 8-minute number to further fuel the climatic finish.

‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ is available exclusively via Beatport on September 2nd and everywhere else two weeks later.

Late November will see MadTech Records round out the year with a various artist compilation entitled ‘MadTech 2016’ the sampler of which, offered up here, features a cross-section of established and up and coming talent from across the globe. 
As MadTech closes out yet another successful year which has seen releases from Solardo, Cera Alba, Max Chapman and Bontan the label reflects on the past year with a retrospective compilation, whilst also taking a look forward to 2017 and introducing some of the new artists due to be releasing on the label in the future. 
Therein lies ‘MadTech 2016’, a thirteen-track compilation but offered up in a broken down exclusive material format here. Up first on the package is Made By Pete’s ‘Rhode Trip’ which lays focus on a steadily building groove fuelled by rumbling subs, hooky vocal hits, shuffled rhythms and whirring synthesizers before Chicago’s James Curd steps in with the playful ‘Pickle In A Bottle ft. Likasto’, doing what he does best with frenzied drums, squelching acid blips and mind bending vocals in true bumpy Chicago fashion. 
KE’s ‘The Cure’ follows with a classic stab-sequence led feel while Jack ‘N’ Jerk’s ‘Apple’ takes a contemporary approach via amalgamated vocal lines, bulbous throbbing bass and jangling percussion. ‘Motion’ by Alex Ranerro brings a deeper edge to things via floaty pads, swinging 909 snares and diva vocal lines before My Cat Snoop ft. Penny F closes with ‘So Sure’, a heady low-slung number featuring hypnotic vocal stylings, electro-tinged synth leads and clattering claps.

Chief is happy to announce the return of Richey Profond, the UK based producer teamed up with Jack Swaffer to create two wicked original tracks. 
The EP is called El Devotion EP and consists of the tracks “El Devotion” and “Intimate Parties” together with a strong remix by James DX.
“El Devotion” is a solid tech house groover with cool freaky vocal elements. A perfect track to get your Saturday night going.
On the flipside we have the track called “Intimate Parties” characterized by its sub bass groove and percussive elements. James DX returned once again at Chief Recordings with a heavy remix. His interpretation has a signature sweet bass.

This April, house and techno mainstay Loco Dice is stepping out with En Couleur, a brand new label reserved exclusively for his own music.

En Couleur, means "in colour" in French, and has been chosen because of the language's association with love, but also, says Loco Dice, because "colour stands for the diversity of cultures I absorb and artists I meet on my life journey. Lots of things I do in my life appear in colour. The music I produce is like my movie in technicolor, and the music I play is sorted by colour in my crates and folders."

En Couleur is about music that will not be controlled by traditional plans and strategies. It is for music that will be shared as and when it is ready, and will become a platform for all sorts of collaborations with friends and different artists. Of course, the Dusseldorf man behind it has already accomplished so much, from critically acclaimed albums and EPs on his Desolat label to sell out world tours, major label releases and plenty of key residencies. He has long been synonymous with a big, hard hitting house and techno sound that is well informed by his life-long love of hip hop, and with this new label proves he is as keen as ever to evolve, adapt, and explore new musical forms.

En Couleur launches with a superb solo EP from Dice himself, then keeps up a busy rate of release with four further EPs planned before the end of the year. The first offering opens with 'Sweet Nectar Blossom', a fresh track with jazzy chords and well swung bass that gets you in the groove. Muffled vocal sounds and clipped keys all bring a late night feeling of romance and playfulness. 'Kanak Funk' has crisp Chicago drums run through with woozy pads and thoughtful keys. It's a deep, hugely atmospheric track that is as much for the headband heart as the heel. Last of all, 'Believe In Me' is another lush house track with spiritual leads that drift off to the heavens and smooth drums and bass that brim with real warmth and soul.

We welcome Midlands-born DJ and producer, Citizenn, to Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records this month with brand new single, 'Stay With Me', accompanied by a killer remix from label favourite, Black Circle. Taking his name from a passing visual reference in the Manga film Akira, Citizenn, has seen releases on labels including Knee Deep In Sound, W&O Street Tracks, Mobilee, &Friends, Kaluki, Do Not Sleep and ABODE, and his DJ travels have taken him all over the world, from big festivals such as Hideout in Croatia to the Techno legend that is Berghain. 'Stay With Me' is indicative of Citizenn's unique sound, fusing together rolling percussion, moody melancholic vocals, dark and brooding synth lines all held together with an infectious bassline over ominous atmospherics. Black Circle's remix puts a different spin on the record bringing a more tribal feel to the track offering laidback drum grooves, hypnotic melodic loops, shuffling hats, intricate piano melodies and a grooving low-end to create nothing short of an Afro House masterpiece.
