Last month we had the tenth in our fledging series of free EPs, here’s to another ten!
This time around we have some awesome new producers to showcase, more prime examples of the abundance of underground talent around at the moment in the UK.

We’ve been wanting to get Brummy don Low Steppa on a free EP for quite some time now and when he sent over The Cry last week it was a total no brainer.
We’d also like to introduce you all to Catchment, a new duo who’ve won huge praise recently from Mistajam and Shadow Child. Keep a keen eye on them for 2014!
Maxx Mortimer takes us up past 135bpm with a moody UKG roller, then there’s the gorgeous sounds of South Seven for your ears and Exposure Music’s new signing CutOff!CutOff! rounds off the EP is splendid fashion.

Established in 1997, The Fat! Club encompasses a blog, the much loved Fat! Records, London clubbing legend Chew The Fat!, artist agency TFA Bookings and a management arm.
This historic commitment to UK underground music and culture has seen Chew The Fat! host arenas at festivals across the UK and Europe, monthly parties around the globe and seven consecutive summer residencies at We Love… Sundays, at the world famous Space in Ibiza.

Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think that’s fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind.  Luckily, help is at hand as we've secured Dominica's unreleased summer anthem 'Gotta Let You Go'.

Having caused quite a stir in clubs and festivals across the globe throughout warmer months, we had feared that the track wasn't going to get an official release despite the likes of Jackmaster and Skream championing the track in their sets.

Thus we were delighted to hear that it would finally be arriving via Altra Moda Music this November and quickly set about securing it for premiere. Rock solid grooves, pumping synths and rolling snares underpin catchy, redolent vocals for a sunshine soaked floor filler guaranteed to ward off those winter blues.

On September 2nd Techno mainstays Pig&Dan are set to release a special EP entitled ‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ via their own imprint, ELEVATE, which will soon celebrate its milestone 50th release.

This exclusive remix package features four stunning reworks of ‘Growler’ and ‘The Saint (Job San)’, the lead tracks taken from the duo’s acclaimed fourth album, ‘Modular Baptism’ which was released earlier this year. 

‘Modular Baptism’ was a record that further solidified Pig&Dan’s status as one of the most exciting Techno acts in the business, with the album claiming the #1 spot on Beatport and singles such as ‘Growler’ reaching the top spot in Beatport’s Techno chart and #2 overall.

Kicking off proceedings are two alluring reinterpretation of the duo’s aforementioned banger ‘Growler’. The first comes from Spanish DJ/producer Alberto Ruiz, who fuses the original’s deep resounding synth-riff with warped industrial sounding effects, and the second from rising London-based Brazilian-born talent Vinicius Honorio, who ventures down an even darker route with fierce distorted synths crashing against the more melodic moments of the track to great effect.

Following on are two excellent re-rubs of ‘The Saint (Job San)’. The first comes from revered NY based DJ/producer Boris, who turns the melodic masterpiece into a sharp, dark Techno roller featuring a relentless array of synth stabs. The second remix comes from French-born Geneva-based underground king Lee Van Dowski, who provides a euphoric sounding framework by bringing the original’s piano chords to the front of the mix and introducing squelching synths towards the end of the 8-minute number to further fuel the climatic finish.

‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ is available exclusively via Beatport on September 2nd and everywhere else two weeks later.

MadTech Records are back with another winning recipe. This time it’s in the shape of the new single from Krystal Klear “More Attention”. This stellar track is accompanied by the equally excellent B-Side “My Love Is Burning”. Both tracks are reminiscent of late 80’s / early 90’s sounds using samples to resuscitate the ghosts of past genres with a firm current house beat snapping it back to a contemporary cutting edge house sound.

Krystal Klear’s nostalgic sound is created in a sea of synthesisers, hooks, drum machines and samples that are weighted by present-day bass licked house beats.

“More Attention” is a classic, timeless dance hit, with just the right concoction of bassy house beats and dreamy vocals to tear up any dance floor in its path. Those vocals provided by Jenna G, a born musician. Both Jenna’s parents were in bands and she grew up with music in her blood. She first started presenting and DJ'ing on pirate radio at the tender age of 14. Jenna taught herself how to mix as she was revising for her exams, and it wasn’t long before she discovered she had the perfect voice to match her beats too. With releases such as “In Love” and countless collaborations under her belt (with Doctor P, HeavyFeet, Camo & Krooked) we’re very pleased to have her lend her vocal styling to this track!

“My Love Is Burning” is the perfect partner track to any release. The 90’s dance hit is refreshing yet cutting with its four-four assembly. Guaranteed to get your foot tapping and head nodding any time of the day.
