This August will see the release of No Artificial Colours ‘The Menace’ EP via Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records, comprising three original tracks from the duo.

No Artificial Colours have been busy. The South East London duo Lewis Wright and Ryan Ellis have been name checked by everyone from Maya Jane Coles and Jamie Jones to Cyril Hahn and Paul Woolford and legends such as Kerri Chandler. Following their recent smash for PMR 'Reach for Me' (feat. Alex Mills) No Artificial Colours are back with a late night EP for MadTech Records.

'The Menace' EP sums up everything that’s exciting about the No Artificial Colours sound: raw, soulful, rooted in classic garage and house, big room party vibes with underground cool, it’s no surprise to see the pair have been highly lauded by the likes of Pitchfork, VICE, i-D and FACT of late.

Ivan Latyshev (@ivanlatyshev) is a record producer and DJ with more than 10-years experience, having grown up in Russia’s cultural epicentre of St Petersburg. Developing a love for deep house, the young producer has been releasing his perfectly- realised club tunes on labels such as Toolroom, and now provides us with a second outing on Dessous Recordings. The Art of Flying EP presents two original tracks and a pair of remixes of the lead cut. 

The original 'Art of Flying' is quite a statement - a jazzy, swingy beat introduces the track, before solidifying around punchy 4 / 4 groove. Restless synths drift in and out resulting in a track that is both exceptionally funky and deeply wonkytopped off with a killer spoken word vocal.

The ever-dependable Eddie Fowlkes steps up on remix duties and supplies a more jacking interpretation, adding a filthy bassline on his Fly Mix.

The same track also gets a 'Crazy Dub' rework which expands the space within the track and strips it down for maximum club effect.

This April, house and techno mainstay Loco Dice is stepping out with En Couleur, a brand new label reserved exclusively for his own music.

En Couleur, means "in colour" in French, and has been chosen because of the language's association with love, but also, says Loco Dice, because "colour stands for the diversity of cultures I absorb and artists I meet on my life journey. Lots of things I do in my life appear in colour. The music I produce is like my movie in technicolor, and the music I play is sorted by colour in my crates and folders."

En Couleur is about music that will not be controlled by traditional plans and strategies. It is for music that will be shared as and when it is ready, and will become a platform for all sorts of collaborations with friends and different artists. Of course, the Dusseldorf man behind it has already accomplished so much, from critically acclaimed albums and EPs on his Desolat label to sell out world tours, major label releases and plenty of key residencies. He has long been synonymous with a big, hard hitting house and techno sound that is well informed by his life-long love of hip hop, and with this new label proves he is as keen as ever to evolve, adapt, and explore new musical forms.

En Couleur launches with a superb solo EP from Dice himself, then keeps up a busy rate of release with four further EPs planned before the end of the year. The first offering opens with 'Sweet Nectar Blossom', a fresh track with jazzy chords and well swung bass that gets you in the groove. Muffled vocal sounds and clipped keys all bring a late night feeling of romance and playfulness. 'Kanak Funk' has crisp Chicago drums run through with woozy pads and thoughtful keys. It's a deep, hugely atmospheric track that is as much for the headband heart as the heel. Last of all, 'Believe In Me' is another lush house track with spiritual leads that drift off to the heavens and smooth drums and bass that brim with real warmth and soul.

Hailing the first release of his brand new imprint, Four Four Soul Recordings, well known London producer, Tom Davidson (of Reel People fame), launches his brand new guise Casa Devi with a sublime debut ‘Peaceful Thoughts’. Drizzled the dreamy ethereal voice of Syrian born Layal Watfeh, ‘Peaceful Thoughts’ Original mix is a mellow jazzy affair, laced with brass stabs, flute, sweeping strings, guitars and creative keys, all set to a broken beat flavoured groove. Also on the package, Tom houses things up with a cool Club Mix driven by catchy electronic bass hook and a superb trumpet solo; Pat Bedeau takes things deeper and dubby with his signature Bedfunk sound. Luke McCarty and Craig Whitfield's HHA (restless soul family) turn on their Harlesden charm with a hypnotic Acid Dub; and Modaji renders a blissed-out soulful groove teased with soothing synth washes.

The man behind London based ‘Casa Devi’ is producer, mixer and engineer, Tom Davidson. Tom's love of Soulful, Funk and Jazz tinged dance music inspired him to set about writing new material in the studio and Casa Devi’ was born. Tom Davidson is a producer/mixer/sound engineer with over 25 years in the business and has run his legendary ‘People Studios’ in London for 20 years. He is a founding member of the acclaimed band ‘Reel People’ and has engineered, produced and mixed a plethora of recording sessions for clients including prestigious names: East West Connection, Nathan Haines, Phil Asher, Bob Jones and Lofty, Carl Orr, Jeff Beck, Norris Windross, Danny Rampling, Planet E, World Circuit Records, Papa Records, Universal and Sony Records, to name a few. Tom's ethos is quality, inclusive, soulful and spiritual music!!
