‘Electric Echo’, a collaboration with Fightstar’s Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway’s synthwave side project Gunship, encapsulates the ethos of the album merging the unfamiliar with D&B sensibilities to create a fresh and exciting new sound. We also welcome the return of Elisabeth Troy in 'Chasing Sunrise' and Reija Lee in 'Cadence' making for two powerful vocal highlights on the record. For those of a purist nature, fear not; Metrik’s sophomore album is one hundred percent drum & bass and he hasn’t forgotten about the dancefloor. Bangers like 'Western Jam', 'Fatso' and 'Destination Earth' make up a serious proportion of the album’s generous fifteen tracks and reinforce his status as one of the heaviest producers on the block.

Over the past year Metrik has travelled the world representing drum & bass at major festivals of all denominations; from Glastonbury and Global Gathering to Outlook and EDC Las Vegas. All the while crafting remixes for the likes of DJ Fresh, Ellie Goulding, Gorgon City and Martin Garrix, and collaborating with fellow D&B superstars TC and Netsky. Fred V is heading straight into 2020, taking things above and beyond since his ‘Proximity’ EP with the latest chapter in his solo story, the ‘Distance’ EP. A widely revered soundsmith for futuristic drum & bass euphoria yet this four track EP also unleashes Fred V’s technical prowess for heavyweight club bangers, bittersweet twists and soaring vocal features from Vonné and Chelsea Watts.

Heading up the EP is ‘Away’, a stunning balance of Vonné’s powerful vocal emotion and Fred V’s synth-laded sonics. In a similar fashion comes ‘Shadow,’ setting the scene with smooth melodies from Chelsea Watts, that slip into an energetic ride primed to electrify dancefloors worldwide.

‘Wobbleboard’ showcases Fred V’s ability to colour outside the lines in the form of a subby, off-kilter stepper, sure to rattle rib-cages and test sound-systems to their limits. Fans of Fred V’s liquid euphoria will celebrate ‘Light In The Distance’, gentle atmospheric pads and crisp synth work see the ‘Distance’ EP home, and round off a showcase of the four corners of Fred V’s sound.

Krakota - Focus On The Future (feat. Lifford)

The pseudonym of Dutch producer Mark van der Schoot (32), Maduk first came to prominence via the YouTube channel Liquicity Drum & Bass  in 2011. Van der Schoot had started producing just a year before and had given his friend Maris Goudzwaard -- who ran Liquicity -- a copy of the track "Avalon" which was promptly uploaded. The liquid drum & bass sound was the perfect fit for the burgeoning channel and was released on their new label of the same name. 

Joining forces with Goudzwaard in 2013 to setup the label and their Amsterdam-based club nights, Van der Schoot continued to release on Liquicity and multiple other labels. With his brand of Drum & Bass becoming popular and winning both best newcomer DJ and Producer at the Drum&Bass Awards 2014 & 2015, Maduk released his debut album "Never Give Up” on U.K.-based label Hospital Records in 2016. 

The years after the album release Maduk focussed mainly on his label and events, Liquicity Festival now is one of the biggest Drum & Bass festivals in the world and the Liquicity community is steadily growing with sold out club shows all over Europe. Early 2019 Maduk announced to be back on the Liquicity roster and released his first new album single Go / Coming Down soon after. Later the singles Go Home (NCS), Colours / Still In Love [UKF10 x Liquicity], Company, Everytime, Back To Life, Go Back To The Jungle and Come Back To Me' followed, possibly all part of his second studio album. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
