سن ١٩٨٥ کی بات ہے جنرل ضیاء الحق نے غیر اعلانیہ طور پہ ٹی وی اور ریڈیو پر فیض احمد فیض اور ان کے کام پر پابندی لگا رکھی تھی . جنرل ضیاء الحق کے پاکستان میں نہ صرف فیض احمد فیض بلکہ ساڑھی پہننے پر بھی پابندی تھی- ایسے میں الحمرا ہال لاہور میں فیض احمد فیض کی سالگرہ پر ایک تقریب کا اہتمام کیا گیا جس میں اقبال بانو نے انتظامیہ کی ہدایت کے برخلاف سلک کی ساڑھی پہن رکھی تھی یہ گیت گیا تھا
" ہم دیکھیں گے، لازم ہے کہ ہم بھی دیکھیں گے" 
ہجوم تھا کہ ہال کے باہر تک جمع تھا . مجبوراً دروازے کھلے رکھنے پڑے . ہجوم کے اسرار پر لاؤوڈ سپیکر باہر بھی رکھنے پڑے جیسے ہی اقبال بانو نے گیت شروع کیا لوگوں نے اس کے ساتھ گانا شروع کر دیا لوگوں کا جوش و خروش دیکھ کر پولیس نے ہال کی بتیا ں بجھا دی لیکن پورے لاہور نے یہ گیت گایا - اس گیت کی کوئی ویڈیو موجود نہیں ہے آڈیوو میں اپ کو لوگوں کا جوش اور ولولہ صاف سنائی دے گا -
