As we close off the 2nd year of Influenced Records, and as is tradition, we like to celebrate and reflect on the year gone by. This year, our 2022 compilation features 1x track from each release, with a few highlights from our charity VA included and a few of our remixes thrown in for good measure. With 3x wax releases under our belt already, we can’t wait to show you what we have in store for ’23. 2023 will see further vinyls come through the label, alongside 2x VA’s and a selection of digital releases, as well as the return of our Influenced Podcast.

2023 is also the year we will begin hosting our first Influenced parties. With a team on the ground in London working towards our first event, we hope to deliver a party that showcases the last 2.5 years of label releases, and an experience for the Influenced family to enjoy together for the first time.

Flesh EP sees LUCRE push further into a stripped-down and uncompromising strain of techno. Across four tracks, the producer carves out a raw and hypnotic sound built on weighty basslines, relentless percussion, and a dark, immersive atmosphere.

This is techno at its most physical, minimal in structure but maximal in impact. Each track is driven by repetition and pressure, gradually pulling the listener into a state of tension and release. Maeksll is a techno producer and DJ based in Basel, Switzerland. Exposed to a broad range of music from an early age, his productions reflect an openness to different styles while remaining deeply rooted in techno. Influenced by the hypnotic sound of early 2010s techno and the warmth of house-leaning chords, Maeksll’s tracks aim to create an atmosphere that is both rhythmic and emotive.

His approach to production is guided by a focus on movement, subtle melancholy, and a sense of nostalgia — crafting music that resonates beyond the dancefloor. Carefully balancing repetition with evolving elements, he builds immersive experiences that invite both physical and emotional connection.
