UK electronic stalwart Debasser readies his second LP, ‘The Invitations Are Real, The Party Is Not’ on WIDE Recordings this June. Drawing on inspiration and experience from a wide range of scenes including UK Bass, Breaks, Jungle, Electro, Garage, and more, Debasser follows up singles ‘Separation Anxiety’ and ‘Bad Behaviour’ with his second long-player ‘The Invitations are Real, The Party is Not’ via his WIDE Recordings imprint in June. Lead track ‘Bad Behaviour’ harks back to the fertile ground of early Jungle & Drum & Bass, while ‘Separation Anxiety’ brings ravey stabs and sharp breakbeats to the table. ‘Funny Noises’ leans on electro stylings around bombastic 303 work, and ‘Pork Scratchings’ sees a dose of the absurd with entertaining vocals atop raw, mechanical instrumentals.

Sacred geometry, complex polyrhythms and clean sound design all collide in the work of Manchester outfit, Akkord.

With their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album charting high in XLR8R’s end of year list and receiving 9/10 and 4/5 in XLR8R and RA respectively, Akkord are not resting on their success, and are already planning their next assault with this new body of work.

HTH020 consists of four tracks of much darker, moodier sounds, pairing monumental low-end frequencies with surgically precise production. The whole EP is centred around clammy, ominous atmospheres, underpinned by stomping beats and descending basslines, placing greater emphasis on the space in-between, and textured over with a doomsday ambience.

The music that Akkord create never strays out of their own minimalistic and direct approach to techno, but from there, and beyond, they touch on an ever-evolving variety of styles, which gradually drive us in front of an overwhelming and riveting soundscape.

001 mysteriously divided into bright and dark sides of the universe. On the A-side (the bright one) you will find intergalactic jack groove represented by Contra Communem Opionem aka CCO (Zurich) and made acid trip together with the cosmic rider Andreas Gehm (Coln). the dark B-side accepts the challenge from imperfect planet's chastener Umwelt (Lyon) and a major black hole instigator Moralez (St. Petersburg). 

Mastering is done on the international space station under the guidance of Alden Tyrell (Amsterdam). annals of the universe available only in the form of a physical plastic 12'' carrier in a limited edition of 300 copies...
