I really don't like musics made with the intention of evoking sadness. I particularly prefer more cheerful styles (like Adventure or Action). However, the drama genre is probably the most emotional style we have. I got a lot of inspiration from Batman Begins (Hans Zimmer) to compose this piece. I hope you like it!

If there's one thing everyone associates with elves, it's harmony with nature. Translating this with music was a difficult task, and I ended up mixing different orchestration techniques to compose this soundtrack (drama and fantasy). I'm quite happy with the end result! I hope you like it!

Ancient Forest (Elven City) [Magic & Fantasy]

After composing a theme that represented an elven city, and another theme that represented a dwarven city, I decided to compose a song that represents a human city. Not a typical city (like a village), but a heroic capital city. Something that represented Númenor or Gondor from the Lord of the Rings. To achieve this goal, I had to mix (again) different orchestration techniques. It could still improve in some parts, but in general, I'm quite proud with the final result! I got a lot of inspiration from Dragon Age Origins (Inon Zur) to compose this piece. I hope you like it!

I have to admit, I've never been a big fan of romantic songs... until the day I studied the orchestration techniques of Mahler's Third Symphony, the Phantom of the Opera and Disney classics from the 1990s! The Swing Era [Big Band/Jazz]

This is one of my most complex songs ever made. Since John Williams composed "Hedwig's Theme" from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, I believe people unconsciously expect to hear insanely fast notes when they're looking for fantasy soundtrack. Moreover, the harmonic progression of the fantasy genre is not very intuitive. I made a lot of use of classical orchestration techniques, widely used by John Williams and Alan Silvestri (two of my favorite composers who greatly influenced my style). But anyway, this was my favorite work until now! I hope you like it!

Yo-Ho! It's time to compose a pirate soundtrack! Pirate music is commonly associated with adventure, and usually has a "dancing" structure (maybe to symbolize the movement of the waves or even fencing moves, who knows! haha). This is one of my most epic works! It's pretty obvious what I'm going to say now, but I was heavily inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean which was originally composed by the incredible Klaus Badelt, and later also associated with Hans Zimmer.

It is curious to think how the organ became strongly associated with the horror genre. Historically, the instrument is associated with the Catholic Church and the Baroque period (I doubt they wanted to write horror music in the 17th century... hahaha). However, the sound of an organ is extremely powerful, complete and heavy! It's quite common to feel admiration and/or fear when listening to this instrument in a live performance. Because of this, It didn't take long for cinema and popular culture to make use of it, especially for themes involving vampires and dark castles. I really enjoyed working on this piece!
