Waited so long for this to be on SoundCloud. Worth the wait

At last the Zero theme is here. Composing this was truly a challenge for me, as I was very dissatisfied with my only other Void boss theme and wanted to compose something that would stand out. I'm happy to say I am very satisfied with this.

Ancients Awakened: Otherworld OST - Doomsday's Herald - (Theme of Zero)

This is going to be a long one. As most of you can probably guess, composing this was a monumental task for me. It took me essentially a year to conceptualize and 1.5 months to actually compose. Both stages of it's creation were very difficult and I often questioned whether if I had the necessary skills to do it. Of course a big source of my nervousness were the expectations set by the previous theme that used to be IZ's theme. CDMusic has moved on from AA a long time ago but the effects of his music on the community is undeniable. Echoes of Infinity especially left with behind itself high expectations to live up to. But that is not the only reason why this theme is this important to me. Echoes of Infinity holds a special place in my heart as the song that actually got me into composing 2 more than 2 years ago. I remember sitting in front of my PC while listening to Echoes of Infinity. It triggered something in me that day. A desire to make my own music. It was so overpowering that I got up and exclaimed "I love music!". It is a memory I remember very vividly and a memory I will always cherish. That day I wanted to eventually compose something as cool as Echoes of Infinity. I've come so far since that day. Realizing the fact that I was composing a theme that will be compared to the theme that got me into composing was terrifying. I hope I was able to live up to the expectations. I don't know if he'll see this or not but I want to thank CDMusic for being the reason for me becoming a composer. As usual I put my emotions into this theme. This time I used my built up rage. This rage has been building up for a number of reasons. This theme is the way I let go of it.

And thus the year of chaos begins! This was extremely fun to compose, as it was my first time using Chinese and Japanese instruments. To say that I'm excited for this would be an understatement. I also wanted to capture the emotions of the chaos storyline with the composition. However that will make more sense, as more lore is revealed.

Ancients Awakened: Otherworld OST - Discordance Sonata - (Main Menu Theme of the Mire and Inferno)

I went into this one without recording a concept first. I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do, but I came up with a big chunk of this while composing. I wanted the theme for the Grips to be energetic, but I also wanted to reflect how they are supposed to be the first obstacle (not counting vanilla) the player faces. At the end I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Ancients Awakened: Otherworld OST - Pyrocaustic - (Theme of the Grips of Chaos)

Continuing with the hardmode chaos events, I wanted Dread Moon's theme to represent Yamata's rage being the opposite of Akuma's sadness from Burning Grief. I also was able to introduce an important new instrument to the Mire side of things. Aside from lore this theme also was a way for me to let go of my pent up frustrations from these last few months. In the end I ended up with something I was satisfied with

Ancients Awakened: Otherworld OST - Boiling Rage - (Theme of the Dread Moon)

At last the Swamplurker theme is here. I wanted it to represent the more spooky element of the Swamplurker fight. I also got to use Musicman's Hunted Deep motif which i think is a nice reference to such a great track.
