I choose to use the sound of two black holes colliding as that resemble for me how things might escalate quickly-
Also I had a rising back- and-forth-argument of a couple going nowhere in the back of my head-  
while I tried to figure out my first electronic track ever. ^^

The idea was to resemble a feeling of digging through the mushy earthly underground filled with little organisms, insects and fungi, to discover a whole cave filled with aery crystalline structures.

Like most of my creatives processes work: digging like a miner into the depths of the unknown, to once in a while finding gems.

I choose to use my cats purr-breath, and my own breath as the pulses for this track and build up from there. i started with a heavy processed sound and distortion and chopping to let it develop more into the natural sound that i recorded in the first place. Putting this first organized and later a-rythmic, playful, 'childish' instruments (marimba, glockenspiel, harp) inside supports the feel of a lullaby calming first and then being activated again.

This was a track for and inspired by the Music of the wonderful Producer from the LiveLab Basti, as he left for some time to Great Britain.
As I travelled Great Britain myself several times, I thought of the journey where you set of from the 'mainland' to reach the shores of Great Britain. Thats why I used sounds from waves crushing, trying to give a feel of free floating travel where there is no plan: just being in the moment, inhaling and soaking up what comes around. 
This is how I percieve and cultivate a state to approach life alltogether: like a journey. Staying open to whatever comes next. Constantly Giving in into the unknown. 
Sometimes frightening, sometimes a flow ...

It was also thought as a kind of farewell song from the other side of the 'pond'. Hummed by the ones that where left behind, singing to the ones that set out the sails, not knowing if they'll return. Finding comfort in a melancholic song that reminded them of the person that left.

I wanted to play with only my own whispers inside, building up to something that cannot be overheard.
I played around with harmonies and also panning the voices, delayed and reverted due to the storytelling of the following lyrics:
'Whispers Inside I ignore them  it seems

As I listened to Glitch Hop its sound reminded me very much of crocodiles, and as I adore these animals, I wanted to make a dedication song about them. 
So first I learned about the difference of crocodiles, alligators and caimans, and the I made some drums mainly out of alligator sounds.
As I wanted to make it organic I played with the bpm during recording speeding it up, hearing how the song changed. I still undefined the whole with a lot of alligator growls, that the melodies that sound like Baby- Alligators where nested whitin this auditive reptiles nest. I also wanted to make it a little bit light and positive in the end to take the fierceness out of the crocodile/alligator-'ideal' as they are very sensitive beings after all. ^^

I played around for the first time with the drummer-feature and created various drum-tracks in Garageband. I applied more and more different sounds coming from a 'natural' to a more 'electronic' feel, in order to clash many genres alltogether- kind of destroying them.

I started with a tune on my xylophone thinking of the 'festive time' coming. Within the drums I tweaked the sound of  falling snow and then being carried away by the wind over the harsh crisp surface of a melted yet frozen again snow-blanket (as we say in germany). As I was also remembering one of my favorite Christmas songs by Leopold Mozart 'Musikalische Schlittenfahrt' (also I reason why I actually love this season), I put in some samples of ancient sleigh bells and distorted them in a way  to  transitioning into a somewhat dissonant sound accompanied by the massive heaviness of the drum. that for me in this season is my vibe right now that wanted to come through.

In this challenge we did a 'Schrottwichtel' (secret Santa)-Cypher and I was very blisses and blessed by the universe to get some stems of Tom Radzinski (look up his profile! he is an awesome musician and artist and I am so GLAD to call him a dear friend ).
SO the basic idea is that we in the LiveLab shared a project wich we didn't finish/had laying around and sharing it with another that makes a sound with this.
As Tom is a great composer and his quite 'unusual'- Dark Techno stems showed up for me, I improvised on top of the dark deep sounds I loved already. Somehow a dark glittering sea came to mind, as well as a westworld (TV Series by the Noland brothers and Lisa Joy) vibe wich is represented by the little distorted piano that transitions into eerie electronical voices. I rearranged some things but mainly wanted to accompany all the beauty that was there already. So credits to Tom!

I started with an organic melody with this harp plugin and therefor I went with everything that came up after that. So as this was kind of an organic process it mirrors in the name. Obviously at the time I got to know the concept of arpeggiators, and as it is always allowed to break 'rules' from the cyphers, that's what I did for the sake of learning. ^^

Go out and draw one of the wishes -
Without reading it, you burn the piece of paper, hand over
your wish to higher powers who will 'take care of it'.

Watch the paper ignite and dissolve into smoke.
Stay still-
What is moving or showing in this moment -
In your head, heart, body?
Give the ashes to the earth and thank the elements for their support.

Repeat this 12 times.

On the last day, take out the last piece of paper that remains and unfold it solemnly.
Read the wish that you may take care of yourself in the coming year if you want it to come true.
