Stephen and Ruth are no strangers to Africa, as they grew up in various countries on the continent as missionary kids -- Ruth herself was born in Ghana!

The Hales dive into the impact their upbringing and their parents made on them as children that helped shape their decision to follow God's calling on their lives back into Africa, into the DRC, to help isolated people learn about the gospel!

Gene spent his entire career with MAF, and he is never short of stories. Listen as host Lem and Gene talk about Gene's experiences overseas and the wisdom he has gained over the years. As Gene would put it, "God has been very, very, very, very faithful."

On this episode of From the Hangar, Ryan and Annabel Koher sit down with host Lem Malabuyo and talk about their lives as MAF missionaries. Ryan serves an MAF pilot in the Mozambique program, but experienced a very difficult situation two and a half years ago. Ryan was arrested and imprisoned under accusations of supporting insurgent activity, spending four months in prison before being released and eventually exonerated.

Ryan and Annabel and their children have been in the U.S. since September 2023, waiting for the day they can re-enter Mozambique and joyfully serve people in need. We hope that their story of faith, hope, and forgiveness inspires you in your own walk with Jesus.
