Thomas Shaw and Ryan Henderson have been seizing the scene as if it were their own through a string of solid originals and collabs of late. Through the release of their debut artist album Beautiful, due out next month on Ultra Music, the guys stake their claim as a long-lasting name in modern dance music. Exemplifying their knack to kick out clean crossover cuts is this tune, titled “The Truth.” It’s honestly one of the most emotive, albeit minimalistic, tracks featured on the LP and contains all the right ingredients to turn festival faces into heartfelt messes. Soaring out with the unfeigned belting of Jovany, the tune progresses from its melancholic piano phrases as it crescendos into a passion-fueled prog-house pumper.
