Magda is amongst the most high - profile and in demand artists, having proven herself as a consistent, adventurous and exceptional performer, with a knack for bringing music together in unexpected ways.

Magda's realm as an artist pans far beyond the typical role of DJ and producer. With an open mind, Magda will try her hand at whatever feels right - from music technology collaborations and events to producing premium Tequila - creating a truly unique, multifaceted expression of herself.
Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda discovered beauty and inspiration in Detroit's raw urban landscape. In 1998, she joined the Minus label and began touring as Richie Hawtin's main DJ.

Since her first international tour in 2003, Magda established herself globally as an artist known for pushing musical boundaries and expressing her unique style. She released her forward - thinking DJ mix album 'She's A Dancing Machine' in 2006, followed by her debut artist album 'From The Fallen Page' in 2010 among other single releases. Magda's remix work includes Plastikman and Depeche Mode and DJ mix albums for Fabric, Balance, as well as a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, among others.

In 2006, Magda established the Items & Things label and booking agency with Troy Pierce and Marc Houle.

In 2017, she launched the Perm event series in Berlin. Sitting pretty at the crossroads between art and club culture, Perm was a collective initiated by Magda and established in the name of artistic cross-pollination with a very strong multimedia aesthetic. Guests included Atom TM, Burnt Friedman, Jan Jelinek, and Cristian Vogel.
Recently, Magda has produced and performed alongside T.B. Arthur as Blotter Trax. The Blotter Trax live show combines modular synthesis, live improvisation and rhythmic exploration.
Performance highlights have included live audio - visual duets with video artist Lillevan (Morton Subotnick, Christian Fennesz) and a recent club tour of Japan which saw the duo performing live and transitioning into Magda's signature DJ sets.

Tresor (German for safe or vault) is an underground techno nightclub in Berlin and a record label.

History:

The club was founded in March 1991 in the vaults of the former department store Wertheim at Leipziger Strasse 126-128 in Mitte, the central part of East Berlin, next to the Potsdamer Platz. The history of the club goes back to 1988 when the electronic music label Interfisch opened the Ufo Club in Berlin. Ufo was the original centre of Berlin house and techno, but due to financial problems that club closed in 1990.
After Ufo closed, Interfisch's head, Dimitri Hegemann, and some investors in the club found the new space in East Berlin. This was advantageous timing, as it was only a few months before Germany unified. The vaults under the Wertheim department store proved to be the perfect location for a club, and Tresor quickly became the place to be in Berlin. Tresor continued to be a popular club, having expanded and reconstructed continuously several times to include an outdoor garden area, and a second "Globus" floor. The Tresor floor in the basement was reserved specifically for hard techno, industrial and acid music, while Globus was featured mainly more mellow house sound. The record label Tresor Records was founded soon after the club first opened, in October 1991. Featured artists on the label include Jeff Mills, Blake Baxter, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Drexciya, Stewart Walker, Joey Beltram, DJ Surgeon, Pacou, Cristian Vogel and many others.
In 2004 the documentary "Tresor Berlin: The Vault & the Electronic Frontier" was released. Directed by Mike Andrawis, it features interviews with Hegemann, Carola Stoiber, and DJs & artists associated with the club & label. The film covers the period from Hegemann's involvement with the Fishladen and UFO clubs in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the final months prior to Tresor's closure.
Tresor closed on 16 April 2005, after several years' prolonged short-term rent. The city sold the land to an investor group to build offices on the Leipziger Straße location. It was open for each night of April 2005, with the final event starting the Saturday night with queues stretching all the way down the road, and still going Monday morning.
Tresor reopened on 24 May 2007 in the decommissioned southern tract of the combined heat and power plant Heizkraftwerk Berlin-Mitte in Köpenicker Straße. 
Since November 2019 the club has a subsidiary in the city of Dortmund called Tresor.West. 
In September 2022, Tresor published a photobook, Tresor: True Stories, to document the past 30 years of its history.

Evolution is a fuzzy thing when it comes to electronic dance music, especially when left in the hands of certain DJ’s. From experimental to disco to pop to house and everything in between and to come, the mutation is the now and new. Known for mutations of her own, MAGDA, the Berlin resident DJ and producer, brings her influences and creations full circle in this runway soundtrack act SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE. Through over thirty tracks of classic and fresh as hell dance burners, the selection and style is reflective yet reactive to what “minimal” music and mix albums ought to create. From robotic hustles to disco house sprinkler moves and electro-tech windmills, Magda turns the years back to phuture.

Equal parts perspiration and inspiration, SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE delivers with micro-edits, custom loops and lofty effects, born out of her DJ ascension from beating the bits out of her Final Scratch in clubs. The mix has the range you’d expect with top shelf artists included such as Metro Area, Ricardo Villalobos, Marc Houle and Robert Babicz and sets up some surprises from decades past by dropping in Larry Heard and Portion Control. Amongst personal favorites from The Persuader (Svek’s Jesper Dahlbäck) she’s not afraid to loop in her own productions from Minus and her new label (along with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce), Items & Things.

SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE paints the experience and attitude from a night with Magda in control at the decks. Since the turn of the millennium she’s been building a steady fan base throughout Europe, North America and Japan with a few residencies built by demand, charming us along the way with a smile. Magda has taken the chosen not given path of a DJ with a mission- searching, finding and carving her own path from being a slave to the rhythm.
