‘The, Thee, Them and I – Complete Project’, this was not just another project; this was the project of absolute contemporary and serial techniques. As conscious as possible I avoided employing classical techniques such as repetitions with transpositions, guide note and run, Echo or antiphonal, fragmentation and liquidation and of course harmony in 3rds and traditional cadences of dominant and tonic of course there is no dominant or tonic here, may be the only feature that I feel is complying with the classical techniques is the universal feature of Pre-core and core, I had several rhythmic cores and I preceded them with pre-cores as it is done in the development of the sonata form. All the pitch class sets are in their perspective’s space and contour. I compromised with false octaves few times when it was necessary and I was not strict with notes repetitions when they came as a result of sets tonicization. Please comment, I like to read your viewpoint on this project.

This is the first movement of my latest project ’The Ship, The Containers, and The Contents’. Due to the complexity nature of the project, the design and transcription of next movement will take probably another month to complete. The Ship, The Containers and The Contents - First Movement

In this project I applied emphasis on rotating and transposing the partitions in predetermined envelops lasting four measures per partition. There was the problem of serialising articulations and dynamics which I don’t really prefer because I’d rather employ them to create similar situations in different environments so they are helping the subconscious to make deja vo moments of perception and also assisting the conscious with similarity measures. My decision was made up to serialise the dynamics and articulations for the bridges to the movements and still not complete serialisation because I changed them to my pleasure to suite the required situation. That is it folks, ‘The Ship, The Containers and The Contents’ complete – All Aboard.

I called this serial piece of music ‘Down Bounded’ because I used a style of joining the 12-tone partitions by a subtle transition of one row form to another. I shifted one or two tones from the last partition of each row to continue in the next row form but keeping the aggregate unchanged. This technique is very new to me,  so please let me know if it works for you.
