my first entry to disquiet junto weekly semi-score composition. i focused on the sun, movements of the sun and our cyclic movement around the sun. ticking. incremental movement yet some aspect of a celebration therein/thereby. quartal movement progression often feels like space. harmonious celebratory feelings amidst vastness. dichotomy and beyond.

i tried a few live recordings of various instruments and techniques but decided to start with a somewhat similar technique used in a reich piece i heard/studied much earlier in life. clapping music. so i took a beat from the trusted cr78. left channel loop, right channel incremental quantized/stepped phase per pass until reaching back around to sync with original.

this didn't sit with me in terms of interest throughout despite tons of experimentation. i took the prompt to try out other instruments/voices. made a little progression and slight variation. took a break to do laundry and the bass rhythm became:

complete noodle 1 combined/quantized/evolving voice into matrix filter then into digital delay. the voice is a modcan dvdo+cyndustries zeroscillator. nothing was played/moved/touched while recording and no fx/editing were performed itb after the fact. complex modulations and sequencing performed by modcan quad lfo quad eg control and the balinese scale of bank C in the modcan quantizer.
