Ivna Ji and Parallel go a long way back. 

Having "met" on Soundcloud, back in the days when the platform was not yet oversaturated, and a few times in real life in Berlin, we kind of lost touch over the years. 

It was only since noticing Ivna releasing now on the Belgium label @zwaartekrachtrecords (check Parallel Voyager 027 by Zwaartekrachts founder @arsonistrecorder!) we started talking again regularly. 

Ivna is a Zagreb based long time DJ and producer, recently releasing one electro banger after the other. 

Until we will catch her playing in Berlin again (hopefully soon), she´ll mesmerize us with an amazing twisted one hour trip full of broken club tracks mingled up with moody vocals and atmospheric synths. One hour of bass music and funky darkish electro experiments, we hope you will love it as much as we do! On repeat!

The triad of MBD brings an entirely different approach with numerous vocal appearances and raw funkiness. The kind of sound that brings images of dark and dirty city streets to mind that would not feel out 
of place as the soundtrack for an cult 80s film about about street 
gangs i.e. the Duke from Escape From New York...or Style Wars. 

The Wave and House sounds are present but then there’s distorted walking bass guitars and snapping drums give it this more swampy sound, and also the more punk rock sound of The Stooges or The Cramps. This release is the feeling of listening to a band and not 
just some guys who are making electronic music. 

This is an excellent juxtaposition of styles 
that is effective in both manners...

Signed to the labels Optimo, Hard Fist, I’m A Cliché, Invisible Inc. or La Belle Records, the belgian artist has crafted his own musical style, located somewhere in an unknown land between post punk, tribal downtempo and dark disco. With heavy, sensual beats, other-worldly vocals and cavernous basslines, his view of music is adventurous and mindful with a taste of queerness. You probably have caught him lately remixing Karpov Not Kasparov, Vox Low or brilliantly editing bombs for I’m a Cliché. He’s also part of Poetic Punkers collective as a soundtrack composer and performer, a different point of view that has strongly influenced his singular and uncompromising music for years.

Articulat is the artist name of Ovidiu Stanciu, a Romanian dj/producer living in Rotterdam. His first release on the AM label was very well received by critics an dj’s over the world, so now he present his second EP "Reflections". 
"Reflections" is an exploration of dance floor narratives, intending to induce a trance-like state of mind through a very physical sound experience. Drums, voices and machines come together to create a ritualistic, almost visual atmosphere. 
Gare du Nord is exploring a different kind of narrative, without words but with sounds crafted to depict a scene in which you write your own plot. It builds up slow and once it gets running it carries on a lot of weight. Just like an old steamer. And yes, it's with trains.

Exclusive: Steve Pepe - Oltraggiosa Musica (Lamusa II Remix)

With his album Vivere in Diagonale Roman artist Steve Pepe set the bar high for future releases on London label Inside Out Records. A good few months after the release a handful of artists ventured to take on remix duties and provide the orginals with some alternative musical pieces or offer a different access to Steve Pepe's music. Amongst others Tolouse Low Trax, niCo and Hivern Discs-artist Lamusa II took on the task to create venerable musica. The latter delivers, just as the original track title suggests, a percussive, hypnotic, experimental version that includes accentuaded gitarre riffs and an none-alternating chord, which sets the basis for various glitch sounds and resounding drums. All of the beforementioned though is highlighting the omnipresent and catchy vocal, which accompanies the listener through Lamusa II's journey through creative sound compositions. 

Steve Pepe's Vivere in Diagonale Remix EP will be out on Inside Out Records on December 4th, 2020.
