Bio:
Diego Mancilla, Dj y Productor Mexicano comienza su trayectoria en la música electrónica al sur de la Ciudad de México. Influenciado por los estilos Organic House y Downtempo, decide crear el proyecto denominado “Moth Warlock” buscando entrar en los oídos de los oyentes a través de armonías envolventes y profundas, ritmos lentos pero dinámicos, y percusiones que evocan un entorno étnico y bailable. El nombre de este proyecto está basado en el misticismo de las Polillas, quienes son consideradas desde tiempos remotos como ayudantes de los brujos y portadoras de sabiduría ancestral, la cual transportan en sus alas. Moth Warlock te llevará por medio de un ritual sonoro a conocer los saberes de la eternidad.

With their collab EP 'Karama', Marsig and Adeil Airaki, invite listeners on a journey through sorrow, introspection, and eventual upliftment, capturing the essence of honor and dignity in the face of adversity. The title, derived from the Arabic word "Karama," meaning "honor" and "dignity," reflects the core theme of the EP. This concept was inspired by a sense of sadness and loss experienced personally.

This emotional landscape is captured musically in the EP. The opening track sets a reflective tone, mirroring the sorrow and introspection that comes from confronting life's darker moments. Adeil Airaki’s next contribution, “As Long as We’re Free,” encourages listeners to delve into these emotions without seeking immediate logical explanations. By embracing the darkness, it prompts a cathartic release, paving the way for the third track, “We’re Home.” This final piece by Marsig introduces a shift, offering a return to lightness and joy, signifying a sense of liberation and renewal.

On October 30th, the day has finally arrived for us to present the new EP from thea & schtu. We’ve been big fans of their sound for a while, which makes us all the more excited that this EP has come together.

The two original tracks showcase the duo’s impressive range of musical styles. The title track, "Odyssee," is marked by a deep melody and signature synth elements, while the second track, "No, What?" stands out with its groovier touches, yet remains unmistakably true to the distinctive style of thea & schtu.

The originals are complemented by equally diverse remixes from our friends Laaar, Samaha, and Sydka. We’re very pleased with the result and would like to thank all the artists involved, as well as Haunted Water and Iorie for the mastering, and Kilian Van de Water for the striking artwork.
