Magoldies - one rythm, one song

A Jazz oldie. Sometimes you feel dark and sad. I used here electronic drum machine sounds instead of "real" drums. No looped samples, just one shot samples for the drums, same for other instruments.

Let's have a dream (snippet)

A little oldie I re-discovered, found it on a old HD. GreenMilk is a cool synthetizer that I used for three instruments here : the bass, the keyboard like and the soloing synth. Flughelhorn and strings are soundfonts.

I wander thro’ each charter’d street,
Near where the charter’d Thames does flow.
And mark in every face I meet
Marks of weakness, marks of woe.

In every cry of every Man,
In every Infants cry of fear,
In every voice: in every ban,
The mind-forg’d manacles I hear

How the Chimney-sweepers cry
Every blackning Church appalls,
And the hapless Soldiers sigh
Runs in blood down Palace walls

But most thro’ midnight streets I hear
How the youthful Harlots curse
Blasts the new-born Infants tear
And blights with plagues the Marriage hearse

I wrote a jazz theme for a wonderful acapella from Leza Boyland. Then Jason Brock (a.k.a SpinningMerkaba)take the result and added his own vocal and create a "virtual internet" duet. I enjoyed a lot the result. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
