After the widespread success of PNTS001 (Visionistʼs ʻMr. 67ʼ), the South London based imprint returns with another hard hitter in Magnumʼs ʻAll Over Me E.P.ʼ Fresh from recent moves on Nightshifters, Gradient Audio, Soukouch Ethnik and Inhale including a remix of Canblaster, the Puerto Rican producer has quickly built up much notoriety in his home country and is beginning to develop a following in the UK with numerous plays from Rinse FMʼs Scratcha DVA and Randomer.

The title track of this latest excursion is as much a robust 808/909 dance floor mover as it is an all out, arms in the air, hairs on the back of your neck serotonin overload. Its winding arpeggiated synths, lush pads, and tear-jerking vocals show Magnum to be an artist of meticulous attention to detail. On the b-side, ʻDenseʼ is a straight up banger. Crafty bass deployment, rustic synth chords and informed jungle referencing all contribute to what has got to be one of the hardest hitting tracks this winter. Also on the b is the French Fries remix of ʻDenseʼ. As we all know anything the Parisian touches turns to gold and this is no exception. Taking Magnumʼs original concept and stripping it back he adds a touch of grime into the melting pot, à la Slimzee sets circa 2001, and deals with the low end as only one of the finest bass operators would.

Imaabs has been working for a long time in the beats production; he was the founder of Modismo Netlabel that made him a promising artist in the Chilean Bass Music scene.
This EP, as the others of Diamante Records, interrupts the typical productions. In this case the artist surprises us with Mechanical Flash, a mature album with an undisputed sound quality and a special sensitivity in order to gather and cut sounds.

In the two first releases we could see the nineties influence , but this time the style is totally new and modern, with exquisite sample cuts and an urban sound that remember us the electronic rhythms from ghetto; since Hip-hop, Footwork, Ghetto Tech, etc.

The remixes are in charge of Magnum (Nightshifters), Look Like (Get Flavor Records) and Randall (Diamante Records).
