Launched to concentrate primarily on his own releases True bass will showcase the sound that has earned Bladerunner a place as one of the best selling DNB artists at the moment.

Bladerunners sound fuses old with new and brings the big bass feel good tunes back to DNB. Having gained huge momentum with his tracks over the past decade with labels such as Dread, Creative source, 36 Hertz recordings, Formation, Ram records and Critical pushing his music to the masses Bladerunners beats have caught the attention of every major DJ in the scene from Andy C through to Friction.

The first release showcases Bladerunners trademark sound with 2 massive slices of rolling future jungle.

The lone ranger drops in with a stab lead intro before erupting into a distorted funk guitar lick that leads into a huge sub bass lead onslaught at the drop. This is not the end though as another drop switches up the track half way through with a massive distorted bassline taking the lead to smash things into the 2nd breakdown before the fun starts all over again with the 2nd drop.

Over on the flipside we have Take me higher which intros with a rolling piano loop which drops us into a trademark Bladerunner breakbeat lead roll out. This then builds up to a bassline that is guaranteed to smash any club with its rolling sub low frequency’s.

Since settling into Bristol’s cultural hub Keeno has thrived. His latest project ‘Music For Orchestra: Drums & Bass’ fuses two worlds, pumping rich classical scores with an underground drum & bass heartbeat. The recording of live orchestral elements in four new tracks has propelled his distinctive repertoire to new heights, making an incredible follow-up to his sophomore album ‘Futurist'.

Opening track ‘Enigma’ balances thick staccato strings, long drawn harmonics and weighty bass for full impact. Since Keeno took part in Enter Shikari’s ‘Hospitalised’ remix album frontman Rou Reynolds has been a big fan. He’s returned the favour with a vocal lead on ‘Shelter From The Storm’ where natural elements create an earthly atmosphere for this deep bassy roller. Turning to Keeno’s more dancefloor focused persona ‘Fading Fast’ mixes a heavy reverberating bassline with sharp breaths of strings to create a tension-building, powerful counterpart. Finally, the church-like vocals of ‘Insomnia Of An Anxious Mind’ echo the somber sounds of late night emotions - a satisfyingly moody alternative to Keeno’s usual uplifting magic.

Satl & Malaky - Still The Same

Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim. The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.

Having brought us the Nu:Logic “New Technique” EP in 2010 and the recently released follow up single “Morning Light / Grizzly”, the duo now bring us their highly anticipated debut album “What I’ve Always Waited For”.

Opening with the calm, mellow soothing sounds of “Morning Light” we are taken through a variety of styles across the 14-track album. Vocal-driven cuts are peppered throughout the album and there’s some top collaborations in there, including “Everlasting Days (ft. Lifford)” with its warm, uplifting vibe, the growling spoken swagger of “We Live There (ft. DRS)” and the blissed out “Shoot Me Down (ft. Robert Manos)”.

Elsewhere, don’t miss out on the excellent “Start Again (ft. S.P.Y)” with the raw, bass heavy menacing tones, as well as the meditative title track “What I’ve Always Waited For” which is all whirring atmospherics and pattering drums. Two interludes “Escape Pod” and “Dusk” successfully segment the album into thirds. With so many musical gems to choose from, one thing is for sure - this has been worth waiting for.

Tripping In Space

With two huge releases from Frankee and Wickaman, Hoodlum, Mavrik & RV already doing damage across the globe. We are now ready to unleash our third; another huge single from an exciting fresh-faced producer. Kove.

Kove’s musical history saw him move from Sussex to London to produce for an electro-pop band in 2009. The following year this young producer encountered drum & bass for the first time and since then has never looked back, immersing himself in the scene and concentrating his efforts on writing his own take on the genre.

Those efforts are clearly working as Kove’s musical talent is already picking up steam thanks to a huge remix for LA music legend and ex-M83 guitarist Big Black Delta. And now his debut single for Program will cement his reputation as one to watch even further. Picked up by Andy C and heavily supported in his sets, Kove’s first outing on program is packed with essential drum & bass energy.

‘Iodine’ leads the way with a stunning musical intro that’s filled with dance floor promise. Kove slowly builds the tension with filtered drums and haunting snippets of vocal before a winding, grinding bassline smashes into the mix. This one is sure to set clubs alight whenever it’s dropped, confirming exactly why Program have given Kove their seal of approval.

Next up is ‘Open Ground’ an altogether lighter affair, fans of the deeper sound of drum & bass will love this track. As the name suggests this one is filled with wide open synths and atmospherics all of which culminate in an effortlessly rolling breakbeat and booming sub-bass combination that provides a perfect balance to Kove’s debut single for Program.
