Live recording of my DJ set at Vortex Opensource outside Cape Town in South Africa. A wonderful party with some of the best dance floor vibes around. The set was from 12 midday to 3pm on the Sunday in blazing sunshine. Recorded using CDJs. Thanks to Grant and the team for inviting me down, it was fantastic fun. Enjoy!

Chabunk of Solar Tech Records presents his show on 24 December 2013 Tuesday 8pm CET on the Trance channel. 

Chabunk is Gareth Webb from Cape Town. Originating from the Garden Route in South Africa, Gareth moved to Cape Town in 2001 and started to fall in love with psy trance. In 2004 Gareth started producing his first psychedelic beats. Over the years Chabunk has been working hard on creating a unique cutting edge sound, something that is fun, uplifting & makes you feel good. His sound is described as “psygressive”, a combination of psychedelic & progressive trance. Blasting from the deepest forests surrounding Cape Town, to the hottest clubs in town, Chabunk has been blasting the dance floors over the last 9 years putting smiles on the faces wherever he goes. Chabunk is a resident artist for the South African festival "Groovy Troopers" and has played at some of the top South Africa festivals such as Groovy Troopers, Vortex, Alien Safari, NYE Rezonance, Origin Festival & many many more. Chabunk will be heading to Europe in March 2014 for his debut album tour. Chabunk has been signed to Hamburg based Solar Tech Records since 2008. After a plethora of releases (including remixes of artists such as Headroom, Broken Toy, Flowjob & Zyce) including numerous EPs and a consistent presence on Solar Tech compilations, Gareth has released his debut album on Solar Tech Records, “Music should be felt not heard” in December 2013. Gareth has combined his experiences playing for dance floors with true dedication in the studio to create something unique and cutting edge in today's Psytrance world. Combining elements of Progressive, Full-On and Psychedelic Trance, has resulted in a fusion unlike any other.

Dj Doc has been a pioneer for the Greek trance community and has been considered one of its founders by introducing psychedelia in a booming underground scene back in 1996. He has been driven by this culture his whole life, thus he has been travelling around the world and has played from small jungle and beach parties in Goa ,Thailand, Mexico and Australia to big clubs and open air festivals in Europe & Japan. His sets are the breathtaking result of years-long experience and are synonymous with an eclectic, varied spectrum of sound, always featuring exclusive tracks from the best producers of the world. The finest psychedelic trance Dj Doc joined Harmonia records from Athens at 2007 and his primary goal was to support with his djsets, the local scene by introducing to the world new Greek artists by combining the passion and energy of the young producers with the knowledge and experience of the well established artists. Poli aka Poli Matkin
Austin Matkin, also known as Poli, originally hails from Memphis Tennessee. This southern comfort moved across the Atlantic to Amsterdam at the sweet age of 16 where he quickly immersed himself into the psychedelic psytrance scene.
In 1994, Poli went to the VuuV festival and experienced his first proper Goa party which solidified his love of music and ignited his creativity. Alongside some friends, Poli helped found Spun Records and in 2006 released his first album called “Electric Wonders”. Some of his influences include X-Dream, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Hallucinogen, Slinky Wizard, Eat Static & Tristan. Poli has been systematically rocking dance floors in the US club scene from LA to NY and jumping continents to play underground parties and festivals such as Brazil´s Transcendence and Japan´s Solstice. Poli is now an artist and resident DJ at Zero-1 music where you can expect to see his new Busted EP featuring a GMS remix coming soon.
