As Hallie Flanagan once said “the power of radio is not that it speaks to millions, but that it speaks intimately and privately to each one of those millions.” And we love this medium as it gives us the power to travel without borders and host wonderful souls without limitations. 

“Beshknow Radio takeover on Soho Radio” is a one-week curated lineup of 13 programs freshly cooked by Beshknow residents and invited guests for Soho radio. 

The first day of the program starts with a collection of Iranian songs from early 70s to the Late 90s as a warmup and continues with eclectic live performances of local bands from Tehran. 

The following days of the week are dedicated to listeners with a diverse appetite in electronic music, experimental sounds and dance tunes.

Introducing new Iranian DJs
Amirali Darbandi AKA WaterT is an Amsterdam-based artist who started his journey in Tehran.
Music is a form of meditation for him and he meditates with tunes and harmonies that exist in the spiral of music.
His obsession with music first started at the age of 9 when he started to learn how to play violin and then after 7 years he found electronic music and began to dive deep in it.

WaterTs journey started when he learned djing and performed in private underground parties in Tehran.
He plays experimental/hypnotic music combined with house groove and elements in his live sets and sometimes a touch of jazzy or ghetto house for a sprinkle of spice.
After a while he moved to Amsterdam to continue his way and he is learning music production and audio engineering in Netherlands at the moment.

Parham Mohammad Esmaeil (born January 7, 2001, in Tehran) began his DJing journey in September 2022 and has recently started collecting and playing vinyl records.
His musical style is characterized by its ability to create floaty atmospheres that encourage self-expression and connection among listeners. He aims to take listeners on an immersive journey through sonic exploration and emotional connection.
He believes that basslines and pads are essential elements in house and techno music, but he find hi-hats and snares to possess a particularly feminine quality. This inspired him to adopt the artist name "Femmesnare”
