TRANSLATION:

1) Oh Lord Gauranga! Please do not neglect to show me Your mercy! Making me Your very own property, kindly keep me situated at the reddish soles of Your feet.

2) With the intention of attaining Your feet, I have utterly renounced everything. Now I have taken full shelter of Your soothing lotus feet.

3) Whether I am related to this family lineage or that family lineage – I have completely abandoned them all. I beg You to mercifully keep me by Your feet, calling me Your own.

4) Vasudeva Ghosa says, “Since I have tightly grasped hold of Your feet, please keep me here by always bestowing their soothing shade.”

Crying like a Child

I'm dedicating this makeshift recording with a crumbly voice to Srimati Ananda Kishori Devi Dasi of Oxford, hoping she may be able to listen to this prayer for residence at Govardhan Hill, and hoping it may help her prepare, in her last days with us, to 'advance across the great river' (as the ancient Chinese would say)to Lord Sri Krishna's eternal shelter.

Govardhana Vasa Prarthana Dasakam

Mahanidhi Swami resides in Sri Radha Kunda, Sridhama Vrindavana. He is an Indian citizen with the legal name Mahanidhi Swami. In 1975, Srila Prabhupada accepted him as a student, naming him Mahanidhi Das. 

In December 2014, from 108 Pandita Sri Krishna Dasji Maharaja (vyakaran-vaisnava darshana tirtha), he accepted traditional Gaudiya Vaisnava sannyasa (babaji vesh). Out of respect for Prabhupada, who was Sri Krishna Das Babaji's Vrindavan friend in the 1960's, he named his new disciple Mahanidhi Madan Gopal das. His wonderful Prabhupada memories are in a book titled "Srila Prabhupada, A Friend to All” by Smt. Mula Prakriti Dasi. 

Babaji Maharaja lectures and writes on Gaudiya Vaisnava siddhanta, sadhana and sadhya. All are welcome to the weekly Sunday Satsangs 4-6 p.m. at the ashram.
