Wolfmarie Charles is a singer, songwriter, producer and DJ dons the moniker of Mahrylou. Born and raised in Haiti, she migrated to the US at the age of 17. Her music draws influence from "SOUKOUS" a sound derived from Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, and Congolese sounds. She also incorporates sounds from Hip Hop, Afrobeats, French-Pop, as well as Haitian original sounds such as Konpa and Rara. Mahrylou is one artist who can not be boxed into a category and her sound extends into Reggae, EDM, Soul music and House music.
