Sonnet XVII

My heart song since the past two weeks. It was so providential that I got to use it as reflection song in a CLP talk I had enjoyed delivering two Saturdays ago. (TYL)

In the philo sense, words and language are deemed to be finite, hence can never be enough to describe transcendent experiences--like man's experience of God.

This song is about that. Though it admits that we can never fully describe or put words into the way we feel the presence of God in our lives, we can at least try. And by using images from the daily grind, or how we see the world that God himself created, we can sharpen our senses, so we can become more sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit and of grace. :)

Felt this to be resonating the irony within--he words and the measly skill that rendered its revelation. The words express a strong knowledge of oneself. Daring another to show himself, show what is hidden, and let the light enter the darkness that envelop his soul's cave. While the impulses that punctuate the song tell otherwise--it is playful, unsure and fumbling his way out of the dissonance--a contrast of two worlds, a rendering of an irony that exists within me.
