This sound is handcrafted by record making producers such as Cash Fargo of Jetlife, responsible for one of Mai's favorite rapper Curren$y's 'Land Air Sea' projects and many more. Released on the anniversary of Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony 'E. 1999 Eternal', Mai pays homage to the iconic Hip Hop group by naming her VIVRANT tracks anecdotal names such as 'Moxi-N-Harmony' Intro, 'E. 99' & 'The Art of Love Outro'. Harmonies being Mai Moxi's staple, she gives praises to Bone Thugs for influencing her sound. With a dash of old school Southern California Boom Bap hip hop, Mai fuses trapsoul weaved in 20 something experiences all surrounded by the concept of time, love, lust and reflecting on being a VIVRANT and free.

I just released my single "N.Y.N" (Acronym for "New York N*gga" & "Now is Yesterdays Never"). Cleveland, OH native rapper Charles Hamilton's "Brooklyn" Girl's" inspired this record and the hook is a nod of respect and homage to him being one of the first Cleveland rappers to make it out of Ohio and have a hit record in NY. The lyrics are reminiscent of a female version of  Jay-Z's "Girls, Girls, Girls" and DMX's "What They Really Want". "New York N*gga" is my way of paying homage to the many boroughs in NY I have lived in and the cultures I experienced living in Brooklyn, Canarsie, Harlem, Jersey and finding love in the Bronx. It is a personification of my love, appreciation and my expression of gratitude to have the honor of living in NY and experiencing it as a young lady from the Midwest!

Released 2.7.24 on on late producer J.Dilla’s Bday,  Mai Moxi hopes her “HealTHEE Mantra” can be your soundtrack to get your morning started, kick start your daily healthy habits and wind you down with a zen, short sweet rememberance that life is precious. This song was inspired by Mai's tumultuous 2023 where she had to heal and face herself. A change of environment, scenery and mindset has unleashed an unwavering want for Mai Moxi to go inward, clear out the mess, heal and address her inner turmoils to hopefully inspire others to do the shadow work as well. J. Dilla is Mai Moxi's favorite producer ever! While working from home or trying to get to sleep, Mai always cuts on her favorite J. Dilla instrumentals and enters a space of peace no other sweet sounds provide her. Mashing up her vocals over this J. Dilla beat in itself is therapy for Mai Moxi and an honest attempt to stay motivated to get back creating and unlock a new vibration of her channeling her most authentic sound yet.
