From the earliest days of the scene in the '90s to today, Frivolous Jackson is an artist who has been completely infatuated with everything related to dance music and rave culture. Getting his footing in the Chicago House scene back in the day, he caught a number of groundbreaking acts early on before drumming up enough money to buy some decks of his own. Since then he hasn't looked back with a plethora of releases under different aliases, as well as a handful of imprints to help foster growth as well.

Frivolous Jackson cut his teeth during the Jackin' House resurgence that happened in the mid-'00s, dropping heaters as The Sound Republic, Frankie J, and Francis Jilla, the latter of which was his bootleg alias. Additionally, he pushed forward with Spatula City and Flapjack Records, the two labels he founded during that time as well. But duty calls and when he decided to begin a family he put his all into that aspect of his life, until his kids grew more independent and he could make a return.

Now, Frivolous Jackson has done just that with a flurry of fresh releases to mark his arrival back on the scene, as well as a freshly minted label called iSH that he helps run with Torrfisk as well. And you'll often find him in Golf Clap's Country Club Disco Community on Facebook as well, as he took on the role of Admin to help keep that thriving group flourishing.

After hearing his recent remix of SLATIN's "Put That iPhone Down" and seeing the onslaught of tunes he's dropped as of late, when the opportunity arose to chat with Frivolous Jackson we jumped at the chance. OJ (full name Olivia Johnson) is a DJ and aspiring producer in Los Angeles. It was an easy choice for the Seattle native to keep the nickname - it happens to rhyme quite well with DJ. By day she wields words and creativity as a PR specialist, but in 2019 she decided to apply that knack for storytelling to her main passion: creating musical experiences as a DJ. Pre-COVID she would regularly spin at Westside spots like The Little Friend and Nameless, but during the pandemic has embraced Twitch as a way to find new audiences. She believes music is the most gratifying way to experience and process emotion, and draws further inspiration from dark dancefloors she’s experienced around the world. Expect plenty of acid, techno and breaks alongside chunky, jackin’ house when she’s on the decks. A house head at heart, her multifaceted, multi-genre mixes also fuse ‘90s house anthems with pop and hip hop edits. With a drive second to none, stay tuned for what’s to come from OJ.

Belgian madman Modek (Lektroluv) cranks up the smash on his mix of MSMFN, which is already receiving play on JJJ Radio Australia, this one is big! Next up, we are SUPREMELY honoured to say that Simon from Bassment Jaxx (as Ratcliffe, we bow!) dubbed Syndrum into one of hell of a solid groove. It's a track of beauty and style; we dare you not to dance. Club Cheval/Bromance impresario Canblaster more than impresses with his top shelf remix of Syndrum. This is music from another planet, and we welcome his visit with open arms. Returning to MSMFN, Italian house producer Whitesquare (Noir, Skint) flips a lovely, bassline driven deep vibe for his remix. Infectious and moody, it's beauty in .wav form. Rounding out the pack New York's Doctor Jeep (Trouble & Bass) brings a tropical groove  to the pack, as sunshine and syndrum go hand in hand.
	
	Bot celebrates his recent move to sunny Los Angeles from rainy London, and follows up his massively supported Bot Music EP, released just 6 weeks before. Stay tuned for even more from this globe trotting Italian lord of the dance. Wafa is Tugg The Drummer, an ever-touring drummer for the likes of Bassment Jaxx, Empire of the Sun, Gorgon City, Roots Manuva and many others. A true man of music, Wafa has previously released on Sinden's Grizzly imprint, and Bassment Jaxx's 'Atlantic Jaxx' label amongst others. He's even drummed for Elton John, got dammit! Have kit, will travel. Together, we've dubbed them Bot & Wafa! Genius, we know. So without further delay, let us Bring the Syndrum!!
