Returning to the label, composer and producer Cephas Azariah presents his latest offering ‘Sleep Is Sacrament’, a delicate composition of twinkling pianos and soaring strings.

Since opening the prolific compilation series ‘Anjunadeep 14’ by Jody Wisternoff and James Grant in April,  Reflections welcomes the full release of ‘Sleep Is Sacrament’. 

A refined composer and producer, Cephas has worked in film and TV over the past five years, writing composition work for PUMA, Channel 4 and Soho House; and since making his debut on the label, he has amassed over 4,900,00 streams.

His music touches on motifs of healing and connection that are influenced by his personal experiences and bouts of insomnia, which have become significant themes in his music. Cephas describes the story behind his new composition:

"Sacrament is a thing of mysterious and sacred significance. For me, sleep is one of them - a daily ritual I suppose. This track is a sonic pilgrimage towards sleep guided by warm pianos, analog granules and frozen strings.“

The latest compilation album in COD3 QR's "Artist Cod3" series is, as always, focused on eclecticism, open-mindedness, divergence and non-conformity.  The usual wide range of electronic music is featured with Drum & Bass don Calibre opening up the release with Dub, followed by Techno from Seroplexx and Costello, a more Detroit style vibe from Jim Rivers, Deep House from Subground_3000, while Marcellus, and Melatron & Ancient Artefacts complete the vinyl package with Leftfield beats.   

Bonus digital tracks come from Subground_3000 once more, plus some melodious Techno from Oliver Way & Dany Rodriguez.

All the tracks have been handpicked by Laurent Garnier and Scan X.

Transensations Records opens the month of November welcoming RUBEN KARAPETYAN back to the label with the single THE TRUTH , alongside top notch remixes from FELIPE NOVAES, ORNERY , MATT OLIVER & MIND ECHOES. Born in Armenia but now calling Los Angeles home, Ruben Karapetyan quickly emerged as a hyped talent in the trend-driven state of progressive house becoming one of the main genre actual artists. Title theme is anchored by a warm and rippling groove, emerging melodies with a denser and more rhythmic ambience creates a hypnotic atmosphere bound to conquer the dance floor audience. The first remix comes from the Brazilian talented producer Felipe Novaes with releases on D NOX Sprout label and Univack, Felipe returns to Transensations with a stunning remix, presenting a perfect balance of warmth and fluid rhythms, obscure melodies groove and atmospheric textures. Next remix comes from the Germany based artist Ornery, which drifts closer to melodic techno territory with growling synths and dark, chugging grooves . Closing the EP, the Brazilian rising talents Matt Oliver and Mind Echoes, presents a remix witch crafts a gorgeous lead line and balmy atmospherics for sure fire dance floor elation. Madloch's Sound Avenue continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Will Konitzer and MeowWow to the label for their debut single. Hailing from the USA, Will Konitzer first emerged over a decade ago on the strength of tracks for Bush Records, Krafted Music and Triple Fire Music. Noted for his timeless progressive style, the Austin resident became a name to watch and would go on to several successes across the next decade, adding Light Side Music, Whose Haus and Musicon in his resume, the latter of which would serve as his primary home. Meanwhile, also calling Austin, Texas home is MeowWow who entered into the world of electronic music as a DJ first, quickly becoming a fixture of the city's vibrant nightlife and performing alongside top international talents such as Nora En Pure. MeowWow's production debut would come just over a year ago via Krafted Underground, a release which would lead to future projects on Elevation London, Perfecto Records and more. Having remixed MeowWow's ‘Mystic Garden' to begin 2023, Will Konitzer now joins forces with his fellow countrywoman for their first ever collaboration and Sound Avenue debut entitled ‘Moon Dance', alongside a remix from label returnee Forty Cats.

Release thirty-five revisits The Little Things EP from Berlin producer Fabian Krooss with a package of three remixes, each putting a unique twist on the melodic and quirky originals. 

First up is Manjumasi label co-founder atish with a bouncing, dancefloor friendly take on Whopper. Solid pulsating bass energy and tasty shaker grooves keep the energy flowing throughout. 

Next is Belgian producer Hermanez with a masterful deep interpretation, whose airy pads and synths move into a more ethereal realm, creating a sense of movement and expansion. 

Finally, Berlin producer Kyong Sono (fka Kyongpaul) turns in a very heady take on The Little Things, really bringing the melodies and synthwork to the forefront over delicate percussion with a human touch and natural feel, a perfect one for the early evenings or slightly lower-tempo dancefloors.

I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland but moved to Canada in 2004. Started listening to Dance Music in 86, bought my first set of decks in 1995. Studied Contemporary Popular Music and Dance Music Production at James Watt College in Greenock, Scotland.
