The Offaly County Board of Comhaltas held their annual Awards Ceremony on Sunday 8th November in the Bridge House Hotel Tullamore. 
The ceremony was broadcast live on Coppers and Brass with a full 2 hour show of live music from members of the Offaly Comhaltas Branch.
Padraig Duffy and Mairead Brennan are your hosts.

Families and friends to those who lost their life to suicide gathered yesterday in the Queen of Peace church in Coosan, Athlone. 

The celebration of light was organised by Console and it gave people a chance to reflect with song, music and poetry. 

A special lighting of candles was also marked by a minutes silence, while music was supplied by Simon Casey, Joe Mc Caul and the Roscommon Solstice Choir. 

Philomena Mulvahill opened the service with a poem. Our reporter Mairead Brennan was there for us.

PATH Portlaoise bring warm stew and essentials to the homeless in Dublin every Saturday night. I recorded a night with them and you'll hear anger, pain, pure comedy and a gentle reminder of how lucky you are.

The Offaly town of Kilcormac is attempting to develop a sustainable community while improving the health of its 1700 residents. 

Kilcormac Development Association and the Offaly Local Development Company have launched a 5-year plan with a focus on youth needs, the elderly, health, enterprise and education.

James, Tom, Charlie and Luke made headlines this year when they were born on February 28th. The Offaly Quads, who are now 9 months old, have completely changed the lives of their parents David and Anita Kelly and big brother Matthew. The Kilclonfert couple enlisted the help of family and friends for the unending nappy changes and feedings since their birth. Our reporter Mairead Brennan has been back to visit the family again to find out their plans for  their first Christmas as a family of seven:

Offaly quads getting ready to celebrate their first Christmas

Tullamore Musical Society are gearing up for their 61st production 'The Witches of Eastwick'.

The very funny, naughty and cheeky musical is based on the 1987 film featuring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon.

The musical follows the story of three single women, living in the picturesque village of Eastwick, who have their wishes granted at a cost, wh en the devilish Darryl Van Horne arrives on the scene. 

The show which kicks off this Saturday (13th) and runs until Friday (19th) promises to keep you laughing from beginning to end.  

I went along to their band call to meet with some of the cast and production team who are all very excited for you to see the sexy musical comedy.
